A-Train 9 V5.0 (EN) Time table - 05 - combining trains. And separating them again.
We have 2 branch lines meeting at Station-002. The trains of both lines should couple together and proceed as one train to a Station near the beach. And then return to Station-002 where they separate again and return to their branch lines. I use track 4 of Station-002 to combine both trains and track 3 to split them again.
Such scenario you can use to virtually lengthen trains during peak hours in your cities rather than buying longer trains. Just pay attention your stations are big enough to serve the trains.

A freight train commutes between 2 stations to load and unload material. This train has one locomotive and should always run locomotive in front. Using the head shunt option from time table you can specify which path the locomotive shall use when setting itself at the other end of the train. Outlook: combining trains. And splitting them up again.

In Part 2 we just let the trains idle after their shift at the tracks in the 2 stations Station-000 (Train00) and Station-003 (Train01). A lucky moment while cruising in the suburbs of Frankfurt/M. in an ICE train: I have seen those trains in several spots already, Nuremberg, Munich, and now parking near Frankfurt. I read on railway news pages a while back swiss SBB is doing test drives with their trains in Germany but I'm not sure if they are in regular service already. I need to check on that some time (and get a ticket!)

Came across this by accident last night. 2 BR185 in front of a cargo train. I like the start up sounds (another cargo train was passing at a track behind me hence the noise at the beginning). This train actually had to wait to get overtaken by a train with 3 locos in front. That is pretty rare to see here!

could we PLEASE have a GOOD tutorial that starts from the VERY beginning regarding adding these record files. I have installed the CMTM rule and set up two portals and sent trains from one to the other but thats it. You started here with the "records for each car already set up. What preceded this? How did you make these record files for each car? whats the first step? Manual talks about HTML spreadsheet. Where the heck are those? How do set the "data file" for each box car. Manual does not progress in a beginning to end way. Any help? Manual talks of majekears auto numbered consists/cars. Not found anywhere in CM. Where can I find those? Quick Drive V2 is faulty. thats useless. Same with global consist library v2. I realize this is an older piece of work but how to get it working from the very beginning seems like the hardest part of using it. Thx in advance. Love the idea of CMTM but VERY hard to get a grasp without a good tutorial. . Dan
Thanks for watching this video. Yes, making a "First Steps in CMTM" was on my plan but I had to postpone it because a) attempts to make CMTM fully work in TRS22+ b) other things to do. But thanks for putting it on my plate again. So long I can offer the non-video instructions with my attempt to explain starting from scratch. There is a CMTM thread at the Trainz forum that explains in 3 parts or so how to set up CMTM on a route. The sessions for this little tutorial are available on DLS. (hint hint: decoration traffic!) As a) is still an open topic not all (my) desired scenarios are reliably possible at the moment. Incoming portals are very restricted at the moment but if all the assets needed for your scenario are available on session start you have a good chance to get it to work. Mike, Thx for the reply. Your discord page isnt working. It keeps coming up with something about hacking and bots. Also the verification code keeps saying its already being used even though it sent 3 different ones. By the way you should do some narrative in these tutorials.
