I didn’t drink for a year after 4 years of daily drinking. I went to rehab, joined an AA group, got pregnant, & had a beautiful baby boy. I kept a good job the whole time. I repaired my relationship with my brother. 3 days after I had my baby I had to be hospitalized for TSS for 2 weeks. They wouldn’t let me have my baby with me (was heartbreaking). I lost my apartment and had to move in with my MIL. I’m still in her livingroom. I never got to fully heal from all of the trauma that almost dying and not getting the chance to connect with my baby did. So at first I started drinking a little wine during baths to “relax”. Now I’m drinking 2 6 packs a day and random amounts of liquor or wine. It’s 6am and I found this on tiktok while chugging a beer after waking up from passing out drunk. I’ll never heal if I don’t stop, but lll also kms if I don’t cope with this somehow before I get my life back on track and get my mental health meds.
