Also known as "Dalle Belle Città" (from the beautiful cities) was composed in March 1944 in the Ligurian-Piedmontese Apennines by the partisans of the 5th detachment of the III Garibaldi Brigade "Liguria" stationed at the Grilla farmhouse with the commander Emilio Casalini "Cini".

For the "Northern Italian indipendence" thing a different Trot group talked about it here www.pclavoratori.it/files/index.php?obj=NEWS&oid=7654 As per the "put class struggle on pause" it's an original production of SCR called "La Rivoluzione Araba" in which they claim that Nasser "paused" class struggle. Before fascism monopolized the term, fascio used to mean league/union (as in a bundle = union). It used to be a republican symbol (which in italy became a radical republican symbol because of the monarchy and whatnot).
