@@yumiiisilmy unfortunately the second I finished my last exam I deleted everything😭😭😭😭 However, the bio anki cards I used were from the public shared decks so if you search up “Alevel…..[insert subject]” there should be lots of good decks. I also bought a biology revision bundle from the website called “fact recall” which included biology anki flashcards

@JeremyTheCatt I really do apologise for disappearing for so long. After my second A level study vlog, I had no time for recording and editing since exams were a few months away. I intended on posting this last video during summer, but I procrastinated the editing for far too long, thus the 6 WHOLE MONTHS of no content. As for my exam results, I ended up getting BBB which I'm slightly happy with but I do wish I had gotten at least one A. Good luck in A2 btw!!

@JeremyTheCatt thank you! My AS results were much higher lol, I got A*AB. Good luck on your studying. Try removing anything that keeps you distracted such as any social media etc. Watch A-level results videos to give you a boost of motivation because it defo helped me towards my A-level exams!

@@saffilms. how is there A* at As level? Maybe you did AQA/Edexcel.. I did CIE A levels (international) and in As, the highest you can get is an A which you bump into an A* in A2. I got 3A’s in As Alhumdullilah but I really did work so hard for it.. which makes me very very scared for A2. Everything is going well so far (we’ve started A2 since like more than 2 months already, 🙁, in julllyyy) Please pray for me and keep me in your prayers. INSHAALLAH I’ll get 3A*’s in A2 because I really need it. I also hope your uni/gap year also goes great. Whatever is written for you by Allah will be the most beneficial for you. Good luck with everything and INSHAALLAH you’ll achieve your goals and do amazing. You’re in my prayers 💗

@JeremyTheCatt yep I have done AQA/Edexcel/OCR exam boards since I'm from UK. However, one thing is our school doesn't officially do AS exams. It's just end of year exams that we do if that makes sense. You have done so well in AS and in'shaa'Allah you will do even better in A2. May Allah grant you the knowledge to achieve the highest grades possible! You've got this!

@saffilms. they are still quite good, u still have year 2 to improve your grade. BTW what are your subjects? Chem, maths and physics?

Im not sure if i completely understand ur question but I study in the UK so i just do A levels not international A levels. My exam boards differ for each subject so for biology its AQA, maths is edexcel and chemistry is OCR A

in’shaa’allah we do well! For bio I use factrecall notes, its a website of a medics students notes that i found online and they work well for me. After learning from the notes i do exam qs from physicsmathstutor and exampaperpractice. I tend to look at the mark scheme after i do a question so that i learn from the mark scheme as i go along. Any qs i get wrong i make anki flashcards and go over them. For chemistry, i watch allery chemistry and machemguy. For a topic id watch allery chem video to learn, then go through machemguy exam qs walkthrough to get a grasp of the mark scheme and for practice. Then i would go through exam qs on pmt. Hopefully these are helpful for you!

I can relate on another level! My videos only show my consistent side. During the time I recorded this video, I was VERY consistent for about 3 weeks until I was sick which ruined it all! Right now, since it's ramadan, I've only been doing max 3 hours a day which generally was my minimum. A few tips: ● Have a year calendar in front of you/your study desk - this is kinda random, but it has really helped me put into perspective the number of months/weeks/days I have left which makes me study out of fear lol because it really shows me how little time we have left. Also, I like to cross out the days where I have studied, which gives me a sense of satisfaction, and I look forward to repeating that and seeing how many days I end up crossing after a while. ● Use flora/or any other app with the same concept - this app uses the concept of growing a plant/tree for however long you set your study session which I'm sure you have heard of. I use this app to track my study hours everyday but what actually makes me use it consistently is my competitiveness with my friends. I've added alot of my friends who have also started using it and when I see their hours go up I tend to get motivated to start studying more! You can see how many hours you've done each week and compare from your last week which basically shows you if you've done more or less work. ● If you are really really struggling to sit down at your desk and just start then we have to break it down and see what is your biggest distraction. My biggest distraction tends to be the usual tiktok and youtube so I like to delete these apps but mainly tiktok I like to get rid of since its the most addicting one. Then here comes the flora app, to ease into studying I usually set a timer of 30 mins so a short time (this app obviously doesn't allow you to get off the app to reduce distractions), and do a small task of something, this could be a couple of maths question or chem topic qs etc. After the timer ends, see whether you actually put your head down and worked without noticing the time. If that worked then you are definitely able to study for longer so you could maybe put a timer for an hour and see how that goes. Increase the time gradually over a few days and you'll be able to ease into longer study sessions but make sure not to over do it. ● PLAN YOUR BREAKS - this sounds SO cliche and I thought the same until I actually realised what it meant and implemented it. Usually, what I used to do was study maybe 2 hours then after my timer was up I just grabbed my phone and ended up on tiktok. First and foremost, I didn't make myself aware of how much time I'd be giving myself for a break meaning my break would go on for hours and i wouldnt plan when I'd get back into studying. Secondly, I WOULD END UP ON TIKTOK. I feel like tiktok is tooooooo dangerous to use even during your breaks because we all know scrolling for just 15 mins can lead to an hour therefore I strongly believe during your breaks you should defo keep away from short form content and maybe watch a RUclips video/an ep of a show etc. One 30 min ep as compared to 30 min of continously scrolling is much better use of your break. I hope this makes sense! ● do exam papers - hear me out lol ik this is cliche aswell, we've all heard this a million times in study tip videos. I'm only saying this if you are really struggling. Sometimes when I have no clue where to start I get so overwhelmed and get nothing done so for maths for example what I'm going to start doing is completing a maths paper, writing down my weak topics, giving myself a week or two to practice those topics as much as I can, and repeat. That way I'm getting practice with topics but also going through the exam papers. This doesn't necessarily count for stats and mech for me since I'm kinda bad at that and it takes me longer to go through a topic but that's besides the point. Another thing I've been doing is my chem teacher made a plan for us to complete chem legacy papers of our exam board (old spec papers) each week and making flashcards of our mistakes( i make anki flashcards on my tablet) and going over them. With this plan I'll have gone through majority of legacy papers and I'll have enough time to go through the current spec papers aswell. You could do something like this. Keep going and don't give up! Remember motivation is temporary so not all days will be easy, some days you'll dread revising but push through and continue to work! Always think of the outcome of results day and what you wish for your results to be.

oml these tips are actually helpful the calendar one is super helpful i am studying out of fear rn, the jan series paper was difficult i barely passed, and i feel so lazy to do anything except pray in ramadan but slowly slowly im trying to get the habit to study, ill use the timer and break methods too. thank you so much for the tips, i have exams coming up in may, hopefully i will pass all my exams, imma work hard for it. @@saffilms.
