This is a useful technique I'll utilize along with using Curves and Levels to do color balance. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing tutorial. Helped me so much. Thank you!
What a great method of removing the color cast. Thank you.
I've bought my macro lens this week and it is quite a challenge.
Whatvapp did you use
cool technique . easy to make an action for too
Thanks a million. I know this was made in 2009 but it is still relevant today and help me a lot.
Brilliant. By far the simplest and most effective solution I have seen.
Thank you so much
Super helpful! Thank you so much!
"varial print using flatbed scanner" What was the last part you said? What does that mean? "varial print" and is there something wrong with flatbed scanners?
WOW thanks!!! the result is amazing, I almost give up for that photo,
Thank you! @UCJn08bLgaU0HShvRMBrxdDw This has helped me greatly in editing an old family photo. However I did have a slight issue while following your direction. In PSE 10 the invert button was found under; Layer, New Adjustment Layer and Invert. Once I figured that part out, everything went very smoothly.
thank you!
Wow, I had an image that was so hard to edit with the recent youtube tutorials, and this 12 yr old video saved my photo hahahha, thanks.
Very clever.
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing this technique, it works great!
Thanks for such a straight forward explanation. Worked brilliantly.

so if my negative films have strong green colour casting, i just have to use the opposite color like red ?
Altostratus
wow very nice and easy and best
THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
or you change the whitebalance :D
Thank you so so so much!
Thank you so much for this extremely helpful and concise video. I have been trying for some time to find help with this in my balancing of colour negatives after capture. I have had some reasonable success with taking a shot of a blank portion of the negative and white balancing on the positive of that but I think your way will be better.
This is genius
One of the best tutorial videos I have seen. It is quick, clear, concise, and to the point. And this method is better than any other I've seen on other videos about removing color cast with Photoshop. Thanks for sharing!
Using the complimentary color is a great solution 👍
SUPER helpful and such a quick, straightforward guide. Thank you!!
Nice moves and perfect size. Mine is the same height, same green red skirt but holding a ukulele
For whatever reason, Tim, I have not yet been able to work it's magic on my particular image. Having watched carefully your procedure, I have faith in it. There does not appear anything more recent on the subject, except those concentrating on the face. Best regards, Jim
Much better way
Mine made the color look a lot better, but it made the image look a little less defined. Any reasons for that?
How would I do this with GIMP?
short and easy, thanks for sharing.
Nicely explained. It worked very well. Thank you Tim .
I have a test file that this technique does not fix. However, the Dave Cross presets cleans it up just fine (online.davecrossworkshops.com/p/dehaze-for-cs6-users). The test file is included. I wonder why?
THANK YOU> Amazing tutorial. One that ACTUALLY WORKS!
Awesome
Wow, very simple! Thanks a lot.
