Brent Spiner rams Picard with a Tesla
Adult Finn with the potty mouth. I'm here for it
Had Captain Picard not left the Enterprise in the hands of the utterly incompetent Commander Riker this would never have been necessary.
I need more of Jonathan Frakes saying "fuck" in my life
"Not a chance. Not this time. We made it up. This one was invented by a writer."
Were we zipping the camera around Willy-Nilly? Or did the spirit of Byron’s Grandmother possess the cameras and make them Zip?
In my nearly 34 years never have I heard an f bomb outa Riker's mouth. That was a bit of a shock
Did 3 acrobats really choose to avenge their sister's death?
Our research indicates this happened in the pacific northwest
The new riker maneuver
FRAKES SWORE 😯😯😯😯
Michael Rosenbaum: Hello and welcome to the podc- Jonathan Frakes: Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?
I thought that was Jack Nicholson
For Seven is due to her physiology as a former Borg.
“REmEmBEr tHE EntERprisE-D?!”
It's real. It happened. I'm gonna go home now.
They'd just use a tractor beam - it'd take minutes to recover, not hundreds of people and loads of ships with ROPES lol
Only works in space. Doesn’t work on gravity heavy planet where tractor can’t work.
Ah yes, the space flowers and the green neon-lit borg cube... I hate the SecretHideOut aesthetic nearly as much as I hate their writing, whatever series it is. Even SNW which everyone says is the best thing ever... looks dirty, used, dystopian - nothing is allowed to be clean and bright and optimistic. They are trying too hard to be edgy. Prime Star Trek was made in a more innocent time I think - even in the 90s, people were looking forward. 30 years later, the people who bullied me for being a Star Trek fan are the ones making Star Trek. I wish Alex Kurtzman would just move on to ruin another franchise and people like Terry Matalas or Seth McFarlene were allowed to take the helm. And I write this as a gay man from a ethnic minority background in my 30s... I should apparently LOVE NuTrek it's stressful to watch, dark, dimly-lit dystopian trash.
I wish there was a scene where the saucer is being towed in space by a California class vessel
😊
That’s false. He made it up.
Inside you with Michael Rosenbaum
I tell you what, that fan footage of the Enterprise-D being hoisted back into orbit and Spock visiting Kirk's grave... that held more emotional weight than any official star trek production since 1990 or before.
Home sweet home.
i feel like old star trek nailed a kind of playful seriousness
They should have let Lt Richer say the F word. Like….just once, cmon.
That's part of the thing with table reads, isn't it? Maybe it's different for TV(no time for table reads, maybe), but I thought getting the cast together to read through and act out the script before filming was to find where something might not work. Sometimes, a line writes out better than it's read out.
woah jonathan frakes, he's so relevant
Okay, from a story perspective, your cut-in is perfect and should've been in Picard!
this is fake star trek
Not this time
This is NOT CANON. Picard himself said that the Enterprise-D COULD NOT BE SALVAGED!!!!!!
Man these new Star Trek shows look silly
The Enterprise E was better!
It aint no Galactica. She died only once
Unsalvageable, huh? 🤮
I really wish they said that they collected some of the debris from the original star drive and used it to add to another star drive under construction rather than harvesting the Syracuse’s secondary hull.
there was nothing left of the stardrive...
@@dalek12002 There would be. Even if the debris was centimeters in size there would be a debris field. All of the matter that composed the secondary hull couldn't have turned to energy during the explosion.
@@skyserf that's not how antimatter works. The antimatter from the warp core annihilated all the matter from the star drive. Also, who would ever collect tiny centimeter pieces to assemble lol
@@ribob75 *That* isn’t how antimatter works. The warp core didn’t contain the equivalent antimatter mass to the star drive mass, its far less. There isn’t enough antimatter for complete annihilation and transfer into gamma radiation.
I don’t think they did. I think the secondary hull was likely from an unbuilt Galaxy class ship. During the Dominion war Starfleet cached Galaxy class sub assemblies throughout its yards and starbases to quickly get a Galaxy class ship back into the fight. IE got a saucer with no secondary hull? Pull out a cached section, dock it, remark it and send her back into the fray. Vice versa for a saucerless secondary hull. Geordi probably got his hands on one that had never been compleated before the end of the dominion war. Then he needed to wait for a star drive and Nacelles to become available. This probably took until the Galaxy class had been decommissioned or they were retiring the oldest or most banged up ones. Then boom. Functioning Star drive section meets salvaged and repaired Enterprise D saucer section and just like that NCC-1701-D is reborn
Beyond plausible. I don;t even want to think about how many wrecked starships the three powers...Federation, Romulan and Klingons...had after the Dominion War. The saucer had to be retrieved per the Prime Directive...and Galaxy's were supposed to last 100 years. Find an engine module from a Galaxy with a ripped up saucer and make em fit.
I don’t like it very much, although season three of the card was good, unlike the previous two seasons. I did like how Ward was using a Star Trek Nemesis era hand phaser.
He changed the bridge back, too.
bridges are proably plug in, he just got the old one out of storage
Wonder how long it took to tow the saucer to the starbase.
He was injured on a horse ride?
Did this interview really take place? Or does it only exist in the recesses of our writers imaginations?
maybe this interview is just... beyond belief.
Not a chance
Just keep reliving your childhood. Never look forward, never create anything new, never tell the story of new characters in a new ship. Geriatrics flying the same old ship as before (bUt ItS aUtOmAtEd). Millennials suck.
And when you see something new you don't like it either.
The two are not alike in philosophy. This is silly.
man was restoring a 1000 meter long starship like its an old dodge
The Enterprise D is 642 meters long, not 1,000.
643 meters.
Johnathan Frakes saying “Fuckin’” was something I never knew I needed.
I do gotta say, funny that you misspelled his name given the video subject matter lol
“Total fuckin’ fiction; we fabricated it.”
The King 🤴
how long is it supposed to be full size?
Maybe a bit bigger than a Winnebago or a bus
@@deltaforceshuttles3749 i'd love to get an old truck/van chassis and build a shuttle shell and drive it around
Fuckin engage.
38 years old and been a Star Trek fan since my mom got me into in the early 90s. In all that time I have never once heard Johnathan Frakes say a single curse word. Ill let you know when I stop laughing.
Just when I thought I couldn't respect this man any more than I already do. What a talent in an actor and director in one package. Wow. God Bless him for being such a backbone to the Star Trek universe.
