Polk-Burnett is a member-owned, not-for-profit Touchstone Energy cooperative in northwestern Wisconsin. The co-op was established by members in 1938 to bring electricity to rural families, farms and businesses. Today, Polk-Burnett serves 20,000 electric members and 4,000 propane customers with a focus on reliability, efficiency and extraordinary service.

Polk-Burnett held its 84th annual meeting June 10, 2022. The meeting was online with 100 members in attendance to hear about co-op performance and board election results. Members also voted on bylaw amendments and participated in a Q&A forum with co-op leaders.

Hi, there! This is Jermey McGuire. That won’t work down here in South, Texas. It’s extremely hot outside. I rely on the a/c I use the ceiling fan with the a/c upstairs.” In my bedroom I also use my lasko standing fan to circulate the air from the a/c. I have an arctic pure chill 2.0 cooler on my night stand, it’s set to the turbo cool mode.” That’s helping my bedroom stay cool and comfortable, That’s the way I love it!! Stay Cool!!! 🥶🥶🥶

Actually 3 feet is a yard, not a meter. A meter is 39.37 inches.

Multiple foamed rubber pipe wraps are rated fire-resistant. If you're *really* worried about it (which you shouldn't be), then get some velcro aluminized fiberglass vehicle pipe shield (looks like header wrap but is velcro closure). Orient the velcro on the far side for the pipe from the flue. BOOM. Will repel a butane torch from 6" now.

@@2339091q No! That is a fire hazard. There's also no reason to insulate it. In addition the foam on the pipe should not be installed so close to the exhaust vent. Check your local regulations for how close combustible material is allowed to be to a water heater exhaust pipe.
Is fiberglass better then foam? Which one you recommend??

Why is everybody saying those foam stick are flammable/combustible ???
Because it has carbon in, which means it can burn.
If it's near the water heater exhaust, use fiberglass instead

@@redsresearch The glass fibers melt at 1000F, while the binders decompose at 500-800F. That's pretty hot! I am not an expert, but I think the exhaust pipe should not be that hot. Check yours using infrared thermometer under heavy load, and allow a little distance from the hottest parts.

You guys are the reason I am afraid of powerlines!
I did it, but without the intersections. So I suppose my pipes are only 95% more efficient than previously. But those connectors are a lot more expensive than the simple long insulating tube.
