Remington 700 .308 safety failure
Просмотров 4,1 тыс.11 лет назад
Brand New Remington 700 chambered in .308 right out of the box with a broken safety.
You can get the forend of the slide tube its just super tight and a pain in the ass to get it off, but you dont need any tools to do it. Theres a video here on youtube thatnshows you how to do it.
Flip the gun over 🙄
Where did they get the bag from
Sorry so long on reply. Just search scabbard mossberg 500 and you will see it for sell at a couple places online.
You sound just like John C Reilly.
Dude, you nailed it!
“I spread my butt cheeks as Mike honcho”
Hi there, you could also just pull the bolt out and tuck it behind the butt of the stock. I know a lot of folks that do just that specifically on double cases unless they are cut to fit style. Overall I think its a great little case and I actually use mine more than my Double SKB and Vault cases. You got a great price on it too!!! And good review on yours as well.
I have a savage 30-06 rifle I want to protect it against moisture do you think this case would work ?
Excellent video bro
That grip gets in the way of the button you have to push to cock the shotgun though.
Thank you!
Where do I order these upgrades?
Hey man, I was wondering if you can post an in depth video on what all you need for the Magpul forend. I am trying to put one on my gun and I want to know what things you need to do it. Thanks!
Notice: The Magpul AR attachments are phenomenal. They're also expensive. So is that adaptor. So to anyone looking for an AR style like this, without the high price, I recommend the ATI T3 stock. Which for a Mossberg comes with a folding stock version
I've always been partial to the 88s old school look I got mine like 20 yrs ago with pistol grip on it new and shorter choke tube than the barrel they had my 12 gauge and its twin little brother in 410 guage wished I had bought the little guy at that time I've loved my 88 12 guage ever since and saved my ass more than few times....
Man this is perfect! This I want to buy a maverick just to set it up just like this!
Update. Bought a maverick. Going to set it up just like this lol. What size is the slide tube nut?
Is the magpul moe plastic or metal rail?? Also, what’s the update??
No mag tube extension? I mean it looks cool.... But more rounds would be my first upgrade or thought
Not an option on the maverick unless you get a new barrel. Unlike the 870 or M1300 the cap you see at the end of the mag tube is a cap, not a ring.
@@gmanthejeepman That is why I got Security 7+1 model.
Sir, I say this with as much respect as I can, but if you just learned of this yesterday, I ask that you please do a bit more reading than a single day can afford before you come down so harshly on a position that I'm not certain that you fully understand. (again, I say this with respect) Might I suggest some good reading material before you write off the position? These books do a masterful job of opening up the scriptures and seeing them with eyes that are free of presuppositions. "A Modern Exposition of the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith," by Samuel E. Waldron "Definite Atonement," by Gary D. Long "For Whom Did Christ Die?" by R.B. Kuiper "The Sovereignty of God," by A.W. Pink "The Holiness of God," and "Chosen by God," by R.C. Sproul "The Bondage of the Will," by Martin Luther (who was no "Calvinist") If you read no other book, PLEASE pick up "Definite Atonement," and if cost is an issue, let me know and I would be thrilled to get a copy to you!
So want to do a collab?
Thanks for this short video. I'm a visual learner and this video helped me put it together in my mind vs only going off of the Amazon description/photos
It suits my needs just fine. I'm no competition shooter or John Wick but I need a holster for my glock 17. I like how theres an extra mag pouch too. Simple
Can i legally do this mod in California to my maverick 88 18.5in
Yes
@@Dixonyass-g8v thanks man
Why even upgrade this gun. These guns are useful because they are cheap. Spending $150 upgrading a $200 shotgun is just dumb. For that money you could have bought a better platform that would be actually worth putting money into.
If I had to pay for the slide tube assembly you would have a point. Saving that $100 puts me around $350. Many people pay $500 for a similar gun that cant even handle 3" shells.
And at this point it is a mossberg 500 with a cheaper safety.
Taylor you don't know very much do you? Why comment just to make yourself sound like a jackass?
@@crowley0722 Is your chamber only for 2,3/4 size max? My Maverick 88 Security is chambered for 3" shells.
@@crowley0722 It is not a cheaper safety, it is a safety relocated from the receiver to the trigger group. The Rem 870 safety is on the trigger group as well. And Rem is even little more expensive than same level of Mossberg 500 series.
Heads up. The bead sight snags on that scabbard case sometimes when you try to remove it...it’s pretty annoying
You could try adding a velcro side saddle, I have one on my Maverick and you can easily remove it for storage, as well as do reloads from an standard ar15 mag pouch, since 6-7 12 ga shells have the same length as an .223 magazine
You should check out the Shoten Armory extended slide release lever. It's designed to be easy to use with the pistol grips.
I'll check them out, thanks
Thanks for the heads up. Seems like the perfect solution.
I got one for mine. Awesome fit. Thanks!
What kind of bag is it?
Made by Vism, sorry for late reply. Never saw notification
I suggest a colab and more 2nd amendment videos
Fun
Uh.. Wow. What are the chances of meeting you on RUclips.
Will this fit my Glock 27 subcompact? Or do I need to get a different holster?
So the Magpul forend fits the Maverick 88 without any modifications? Their site says it’s not compatible.
You have to purchase a slide tube assembly to upgrade the forend on the maverick 88. I recommend buying it straight from mossberg. For the magpul you'll need a 7 3/4 slide tube assembly and a 7 3/4 adapter nutnut(sold separately). good luck
Rick hit nail on the head. Slide tube assemblies aren't too expensive, but hard to find. Make sure the length works with your foregrip
@@crowley0722 I’m looking to do this also but my Maverick 88 is the 18.5 in barrel so will the 7 in action tube work with mine or no?
Good video for anyone buying a cheaper Maverick and throwing a bunch of stuff on it. The safety on the Maverick is in a crap position, but I'll bet it works out well with the pistol grip. My old adage is "a Shotgun's a damn Shotgun". I've got 3. A single shot H&R 20ga I got for my birthday in 1985, a 1980 model Wingmaster I bought off a co-worker for $150 and then bought 2 more barrels for, and this cheap ass Maverick I just took off Gunbroker for $140 after shipping. They all do the same thing. The fancy over and under gig isn't my bag. I understand, but I blow my money on different types of expensive guns. $1600 into a rimfire pistol, yeah. But I'll skimp on the scatterguns and be content. Thanks for putting this one up, its helpful.
Can this fit the SA10 airgun?
The Evanix Blizzard S10 Long, no. That's a no.
crowley0722 Oh, no I’m talking about the umarex SA10
How much does your foregrip rattle? I know mossberg is known for the rattle foregrip but seems really bad after I put magpul on.
There is a bit of rattle. For light use/home defense is fine. If I used a shotgun regularly I'd go for something a bit higher quality
You where just being too finicky just trying to bash a great company. Trigger control with your trigger finger is the only safety you need.
my forend is the type with the metal screw cap thing on it... that is the same as the 500 isn't it? I think mine must be a bit older model because I have heard the newer ones don't have the screw cap thing on the forend.
If you have an 88, you may be thinking of the screw on nut that holds the barrel in place. 88 has its action bars mounted to just the plastic forend. The 500 forend slides over a metal tube that the action bars are mounted to. The 88 has the plastic piece with no tube inside it. Action bars are just pinned to the back of it. Nothing wrong with the plastic 88 forend. This is just if you want to slap a bunch of different shit on there. Which is fun an I have zero issue with. Guns, cars, golf clubs, whatever. Rice that shit out if that makes you happy. This is what you're here for anyway. Like Chris Rock said, put rims on a toaster!
How's the recoil with the pistol grip and AR stock versus the standard traditional stock?
Sorry for late reply, kids ruin my channel by following too many ppl and I never saw notification. Pistol grip works well, but changed stocknout for one with more cushion, limb saver
@@crowley0722 lmfao I have the same problem
What did you end up going with
around $199 for Gun and $150+ for upgrades
Or buy the $300 gun and do the same shit to it. I've got an old Wingmaster myself, so I spent $140 on a Maverick and now I'm running it through the JC Whitney treatment myself.
For that price, you might aswell just buy a Mossberg 500. It's around the same price.
@@Superman-xr1oh I prefer the 88 because of its safety position the 88 and 500 are the same guns
John Smith The 88 is almost 2 inches shorter right even with a custom stock right? I like that too
Remington quality right there!
would it be a problem to put a gun with a suppressor in this holster ?
no, it would protrude through the cut out in the bottom and stick out, but ample room
It's obvious (to me at least) that all the people saying "just flip the riffle so the bolt is facing upwards" didn't watch the whole video. If they did, they would of heard him clearly explains why he faced the riffle the way he did in the video (at 4:51).
Flip the rifle 180 degrees so the barrel is facing the opposite direction. Problem solved.
wounder if this would fit the pt111?
should be close...
crowley0722 yup just got it a few days ago fits nicely thanks....good price on ebay to 15.00
just wondering why not put stock of the rifle on the other end of the case, so the bolt is on the outer side?
the bolt comes out with ease, but i keep a different gun on the other side now and there is plenty of room. i love this case, i really do. was just trying to do an honest review and I would be concerned if bolt faced out and the case was dropped or stepped on. Most of the impact would go straight to the bolt. really not an issue though.
Will it fit your pistol if you had a flashlight on it?
Kevin Hong sadly no
what does this guy expect for 30 bucks!!!!
I'm having an issue getting the swivel screw to pass through the swivel mount. It looks like they are slightly out of alignment. Anyone else have this issue?
Yes! Ever find a fix?
have you used it yet
yes. can lock and adjust feet to get barrel nice and level. bounces a bit, but all in all it works very well
Hello, wich the model this case please? In brazil have this mark, but I don't no the model.
model # 1512
Any way to mount it using just the sling swivel?
+.mlh you have to use that adapter, unless you already have a rail
I don't store my guns in plastic cases of any kind. I use mine purely for transport from the safe to the range and back. Ammo and accessories go in my range bag. Nobody's hands but mine will ever touch it. Two scoped rifles fit just fine when used for that purpose. It's hard for me to find fault a $30 (now $50) case. If you were expecting heavy duty, be prepared to add another $100-$200 to that price, and even that would be considered low-end.
Very Good Video. It happened to me also. Thanks for the tip.
