I was workig in HMC Dockyard Halifax when Her magesty passed. the ship I was working on had a radio tuned to the local working channel. There was an anouncement made similar to this "All stations all stations all stations. This is the Quee...King's Harbour Master. The Queen has passed. All ships in his Majesty's Navy are ordered to lower flags to half mast. King's Harbour Master out."

Not really. The anthem of the Netherlands is a 15 couplet protest against the Spanish oppression, written in the first person singular, the protagonist being William of Orange, the Father of the Nation. He was murdered in 1584, so ordered by king Philip II of Spain

Not a new version but the Benjamin Britten ruined version. Seriously the guy makes me ashamed to be from Suffolk we heap praise on a guy that could ruin anyone else's work.
I think Britten’s version is amazing. It’s my favourite arrangement.
