Paraclimber rappels an abandoned mine shaft - Consolation Mine
While we didn't find any accessible crosscuts on this explore, it served as an excellent test case for rappelling without the use of her legs. She is determined to complete some future rappels into mines with levels that we can assemble the wheelchair on. While mine exploring isn't our main hobby anymore, videos like this one show how, even just a year after her severe workplace accident, she will not be held back from what she wants to accomplish.

We've NEVER explored a mine of this color - Velur Mine
Просмотров 3 тыс.8 месяцев назад
There are conflicting reports, and it is difficult to say from the remains what was actually being mined here, but whatever the case may have been, one very purple mineral is now the primary attraction at this abandoned mine. This experience definitely expanded our mineral knowledge by causing us to dig deep into identification guides. After some reading, we think this stuff would be best descr...
Investigating how they got gold down the mountain - Rutland Mill

Take a look around this beautiful mountaintop with us as we try to figure out the process by which mined ore made its way down to the valley. Some of the construction we saw here was completely new to us, so we're hoping that you guys might be able to tell us more about how each section would have operated in the gold days.
Finding mines filled with rattlesnakes, black widows, and mice using The Rig - Loch King Mining Camp

Some of you noticed on our last duo exploration that we were using The Rig designed by fellow RUclipsr @JerryRigEverything to get around the rugged terrain of a mine filled canyon. This time we really take the electric contraption for a ride, crossing hills and valleys in search of abandoned mines. Now if only we could figure out how to get one inside a mine. Colorful walls and odd artifacts in the Coinage Mine
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.9 месяцев назад
This mine appears to have been abandoned more recently than many, though there are signs that it was first worked quite a long time ago. While it is difficult for me to determine what metals they actually shipped, even after consulting the old reports and surveys, we can say for certain that the mountain features a variety of fairly colorful minerals.
Miners sculpted these walls by hand in the Tippecanoe Mine
Просмотров 8999 месяцев назад
It's pretty rare to see marks from a miner's pick in a mine anymore, so to see a drift covered in them was quite a find. I'm definitely impressed with how carefully they formed the wall as they worked this mine, leaving behind a face that seems remarkably uniform given the tools used. It really shows a pride for the work they did that I fear goes unappreciated.

Exploring five mines in one weekend on the Stone Fort Range

I could no longer resist the urge to explore the mountains, so I went up alone over a holiday weekend and hit as many piles as I could find, discovering a few strange and interesting things along the way. This may become something I do once in a while on this channel, so let me know what you think of the video. We're still working on getting my partner back into the wilderness too, so stay tune...

How far down did they dig?? - Mutineer Mine
Просмотров 4 тыс.Год назад

Awesome trestle leads to a very strange tunnel layout - Eagle Mine
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.Год назад
When you see structures like this from afar, you just have to go investigate, even if that means four extra miles in the snow. Though the trestles and rails outside were very impressive, they seem hardly justified by the mine's interior. Is it just us, or is this a rather unusual way to dig things out?

She has came so far. I was thinking the same thing if you can make are get someone to help with it. Make a leather style bag. For her feet an legs up the her waist to go in. I dont know if you remember me i am the one was at work an smashed between a pick-up an wrecker by a semi trailer. Lost both my legs above the knees. When i was 29 years old in 1993. I am 60 old now an i still do thing that people cant believe. I can still do 30 pull ups. I still race my can-am rock climb. Never give up an she hasnt. Things happen for a reason. I still love your channel. Anyway on making that leather bag to carry her legs with steel lups to tie on to up to her waist. I know a leather shop that would make it. I would love to buy it. If you had a way to get me the size its needs to be. I had wheelchair covers for the founr of my chair to keep it nice. This place made them an i put them on there great. They have steel Eyeloots an they give me this wax covered nylon string to hold the on. Let me know please.

I am so sorry to hear of her accident. I had just watched my very first video of you both titled "Incredible Woodwork". After watching it I subscribed and started watching more. I was shocked when I viewed your video about her accident and wish her much success with her recovery and future plans. From the limited videos I have watched, I don't think many things will stop her. Best of luck with the future of your channel and to each of you.

You guys are amazing. You Sir are a good man, standing by your partner like you do. You M'lady, are a true inspiration! We had a family friend just like you, just so full of life. She was a paragelic from a bush plane crash up in Canada. She was a bush nurse and loved every minute of it. Just like you nothing stopped her, even after her accident, with a specially modified off road chair she would still go near the Artic and do what she loved. She named her chair so instead of having to take the chair, she would go with "Bob", places. So, what is your chairs name gonna be? Again you are two amazing and an inspiration on what can be done! Bravo!
