I think Citadel is a good level. The problem is that people see gameplay that they're not immediately used to and label it as "bad" instead of taking the time to learn it and become familiar enough with it to beat it. Not every level needs to be perfectly sightreadable. I mean, it's a demon, so I don't understand why people expect to scope it out in 3-5 attempts like a 6 star. The hate towards the split screen effect is the most upsetting to me. People complain about how it makes the level harder to see. THAT'S THE POINT. And it's not even that much harder to see! It's easy when you click to the music roughly around where the jump indicators are. Most levels when I started playing didn't even have jump indicators. I can't help but feel like a lot of modern GD players don't actually like to play GD. The process of figuring out a level and doing everything right to beat it should be fun and rewarding, but it seems like no one wants to put in the effort. I just wish people could appreciate good levels instead of letting anger cloud their judgment. TL;DR: Citadel good level, just git gud

In my brutally honest opinion, people have completely forgotten how to make actually good demon gameplay since 2.2 surfaced. If anything, unmodified platformers have been the funnest to play, and that’s sad.
