1:15 - I’m sure you’re probably aware that your “trap door” is not supposed to be there. Someone definitely cut a hole into the trunk’s floor. I own a 1993 Camaro Z28 and I’ve had to replace the fuel pump assembly on it twice. The proper way is not as easy as this video. You have to remove the muffler assembly, drop the suspension, unhook the filler neck and then drop the tank, to gain access to the top of the fuel tank. Cutting a hole on the floorboard, in my opinion, decreases the value of your almost 30 year-old car. If you’re not an enthusiast or don’t really care about it, then yes, cutting a hole is absolutely quicker. It took me a little over 4 hours each time, with the help of a friend, to replace my fuel pump assembly the proper way.
