The original bolt has the Bluetooth….the pro doesn’t have one. Jetson removed the BT on the pro, but used the same controller for both bikes… so you can change the max speeds

you need to jailbreak your iphone to be able to install the older version of the jetson app. if you have an android phone or tablet -- you need the 6.2.7 version to be able to change the speed

@@ray8569 use jetson app v 6.2.7 … launch the app… When you have the app open…click on the gear icon on the upper right corner.

I get about a tablespoon of oil and water mix…then I added a paper medium in the can ( 1/2 sheet of paper towel or tissue paper scrunched into a loose ball ) and just toss out and replace it every month… easy cleanup, no mess

@@ryukenden888x How much were you losing before? At the moment, I'm losing quite a bit and hoping this slows it down. Also on mine, I can't remove the end from the intake (hybrid 2.0 is on the right side). It's like they expanded it over onto a bigger connector or something. The clamp is even bigger than the one from the pcv. I tried twisting it, WD-40, all kinds of tricks. So I'm going to get one of those aluminum pieces that connect to hose ends together and clamp. It should be 99% air in that one so it should be ok. I'd rather do straight hose. I did notice in the details of the Amazon listing, the bottom said the inlet/outlet are reversed as well.

@@robertrose3068there was more oil and water during the cold months…. For now, once i see the paper medium saturated ( from white to a brown color )- i toss it out and replace with new paper…. The amazon listing has the IN and OUT reversed… so, when you are installing the hoses, make sure the air coming from the valve cover is plugged into the the port that has NO brass filter.

Yeah. It's normal. The bike is heavy and pedaling takes some effort when going uphill. It's easy when the road is flat.

the motor assist should kick in once you start pedalling ... you might have a bad unit... send it back and get a replacement

My jetson bolt pro has no pedals the batterys way better and I last a lot longer and has more power

@@tiredoldman5329 Oil catch cans are simple devices that can greatly benefit direct-injected engines. They prevent oil and other contaminants from causing buildup inside your engine's intake manifold. Is it necessary? Strictly speaking, any car can continue to run without an oil catch can. However, if you do not install one, you have to take other steps to deal with the effects of blowby in your vehicle

​@@tiredoldman5329 I once installed a catch can the same way, from Mishimoto, and it collected so much oil I had to constantly empty the can at least once a week. This is a flow with GDI engines from Hyundai/Kia/Genesis. I removed it about 6 months ago because the rubber hose would stink badly and almost melt, and the constant weekly check up was annoying. Always opening and closing the hood, had to replace the struts and oil up the locking mechanism, and the Mishimoto can was a pain to open and close. I just replaced my PCV or PVC valve, whatever it's called, and suddenly after diving, my car went kinda on limp mode where it would let me drive over 3k RPM. Garage discovered that carbon destroyed the intake manifold runner valves and the intake runner controller broke. I should've kept the Catch Can at all times. GDI engines have this issue because the engineers thought that the pressure coming out the valve cover filled with oil would be a great idea to spit out on plastic valves, where it gets hot enough to carbonize it and destroy it. There are 2 outlets on the Valve Cover that you need to remove pressure, where you'll need a catch can with 3 ports or 2 catch cans. And personally, ill vent it to the atmosphere by drilling a hole or buying a can with a hole under with a hose that shoots out the excess oil out on the road until I find a large can or an alternative. I got a used intake manifold itself with the motor/controller from the dealer. Got ripped off, they left their bill in the box which showed they paid 160, I paid 250 plus tax and check-up labor (350 total). Call the scrapyard first before getting used parts from garages and dealers. Now it's going to cost me another 200 to replace and install. And buy a new catch can...

You need the bt module from the bolt and install it to the bolt pro. They use the same controller.

@@thomas3417 that’s probably the downside of making it go faster. But I don’t go full throttle all the time and use the pedals when going uphill. My battery usage is still the same as far as I know.

Nope. That only works when there’s resistance. If the bike’s motor is at its top speed, pedaling is against no resistance and does not speed you up.

Im not feelin those pedal on the pro i just bought the one with the pegs feel like its better than the pro.

It’s the only way to unlock the bolt pro for now. You can probably hook up a slave 4 pin Bluetooth module and unlock it that way. I haven’t tested that scenario yet.

@@ryukenden888x can please there’s ALLLOT of people looking to speed hack their pro but don’t have the bolts bt module and seems like there’s none on the market either.quistion once you unlock the speed can you take the bt module out and it will stay the same ?

Yes. Throttle and pedal assist are noticeably faster.

@@ryukenden888x Cool, I was not sure if that just me or it did happened after the speed change. I think there is some speed limiter or something as without pedal it still would go the same speed as before base on the speed test..

I borrowed the Bluetooth from the bolt and connected it to the bolt pro. Both ebikes use the same controller, but the pro has no BT while the standard bolt has one.

@@ederreyes6529 yeah. There’s a 4 pin slave BT module for sale at Amazon. I bought one, but I haven’t tried it yet. I need to buy the wiring connectors for it and tap into the OEM wiring

I’m 215 and I got to 16.9 on a flat road using the “track your ride” on the jetson app

If you use gps app the speed would be 2 miles less then ride jetson app shown in video. I tested it many times and post many videos on speed test. Bolt Pro goes 14 mph on GPS app and Bolt max 17 mph but ride jetson app 18.6 mph . My main concern about speed change to bolt pro how is pedals assist works? As pedalling get max about 16-17 mph.

@@askdad I use other method for gps speed and it's accurate. Same with using the police law speed tracker around town....

Let me know how fast bolt will go with your speedometer as I think it will go up to 16 -17 max probably
