@brad2185 If your looking for a performance orientated rig, the Redcat is the way to go in my opinion, it's unstoppable, specially for the price! Plus a ton of mods out there for it now which is always fun. If your looking for more scale looks and features and more of a trail truck that still does decent of rocks check out the HPI Accent 18, I have been pleasantly surprised by it. @brad2185 I've switched to almost exclusively 18th and 1/24th now. So easy, toss em in your back pack and go. Plus you can work on them on a little surface, don't need a shop! Good luck with the RC hunting! :)

Hahaha well said! I'd love a 1:1 square body Chev! Traxxas does have some excellent scale details on these little guys, can't fault them on that. It's unfortunate they didn't give a mount for a servo or anything on the 2-speed transmission either. It pretty bare minimum considering that transmission upgrade was $70 alone, and when it's cold, that means taking your gloves off so you can unhook the body just to switch gears. The brushless upgrade was super pricey too, luckily the brushless motor comes with another output channel, so in theory you could rig a external servo to switch gears.... But you can't use the extra channel with the stock remote lol. Ugh. Oh well! Still lots of fun. I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching! ✌️🙂

I was thinking I may be able to add the stock yellow lense cover on-top of these? They really don't give ya much of a choice with that stock roll bar with the wires! The interior worked out great! I have the same issue with my K10 high trail... the roll bar lights are brighter and a slightly different color... haha. If your looking for a 18th scale rock crawler that still has a ton of scale looks, the HPI Venture 18 is the way to go and is by far my favorite. If you want a hardcore rock crawler, I would say redcat ascent 18, but it lacks almost all scale features (no lights, no 2 speed transmission etc.) The other option is the Traxxas TRX4M, this one has a lot of scale features an tons of modifications out there for it already. But the TRX4M won't be nearly as capable out of the box, you'll need to drop a decent amount of money of performance parts to get the same capabilities as the HPI Venture 18. So, long story short, yes, I would definitely recommend this one! :).

@Cqspeed2realls it's a HPI Venture 18! Completely stock in this video I think. Here is a link: www.hpiracing.com/en/kit/160800 I ended up picking mine up from my local hobby shop.

This one I stole out of a FMS FJ cruiser I had laying around. Looks like they still carry the dashboard set: www.fmshobby.com/products/1-18-fj-cruiser-dash-board-seat-set It's interesting though, they called it a "dashboard set", but interestingly do not show the dashboard itself in the pic? I used this and simply trimmed off the back seats to make it a two seater! I hope this helps!

@jonmandelbaum5395 you know what, embarassing enough, I just used a little hot glue. I also wasn't sure what else to use on the paint. It worked well though, the interior weighs next to nothing, so doesn't need much to hold it in place. If I had more one I could probably figure out some brackets or something. But it worked!
