I used to love Mint Condition as a kid. I can’t tell you how many basketball cards , Pokémon cards, and comic books my family purchased at Mint Condition. I also remember friends who had some really fun birthdays at Mint condition and my grandparents and parents always knew they couldn’t go wrong with a gift from mint condition. I remember Joe specifically and I must say him and the store were such an integral part of the culture in Port Washington. I always looked forward to visiting and a big part of me wishes it was still around. Best wishes to you Joe and much love from myself and my family.

Kevin Bolger (me) typed a couple of articles including my own for issue #2. I got involved at the tail end of #1. I helped a bit with the actual bulk selling of the issues to dealers at various venues.

The Frank Frazetta sketch was owned by Frank Mancuso. It came up a few years ago on Heritage Auctions and sold for a few $K. The Sergio Aragones Dracula sketch was actually done in a hallway of a convention (I saw him do it).
I think the two Star Trek conventions going on at the same time in 1974 was due to a falling out between the original promoters.
Much of the original professional artwork was owned by Frank and Ralph Mancuso.
The Neal Adams Conan was actually drawn for the interviewers, Ralph and Frank Mancuso, during the interview with Neal.
Joe, did you ever give thought approach Queens College about developing a History of Comic Book class as an elective in the English Literature and Creative Writing programs. Or Adult Education Programs

my favorite moment of kevin as Batman was in the episode dreams in darkness was when batman was trapped in arkham while being infected with scarecrow's fear gas while having hallucinations but he overcame them with bravery and courage
