Totally! He has some flaws, tactically and on the behavior side, with his short temper. But, for a someone who never coached a club as big as Barça, and had next to no experience apart from that Qatar stint, pulling off a Laliga trophy with that team was a miracle. If you take a look at the records that he achieved, then it's clear that he needed a bit more European experience, then give him a great team and time, and watch him deliver. For example, in comparison with other coaches that managed Barça for more than 100 games, he has the 3rd best record just behind Pep and Enrique with 69 wins, 16 draws and 15 loses. If we factor in the fact that Pep and Enrique had the best player in history, and incredible squads. Then Xavi sits at the top of the list above the likes of Cruyff, Rijkaard and Van Gaal. With a squad that is nowhere near the ones that all of these coached back then.

Still, I agree with you that we need to reinforce a lot of positions. Our team has great potential, and bringing in players like Kimmich, Rodri, Williams, and others will take it to the next level.

Signing Haaland is practically impossible as of today, next summer, or in two years, regardless of whatever legacy or term of office Laporta intends to secure, especially if his stock continues to rise. Even with the right financial structures in place, City has no reason to sell, as he is practically non-transferable. He will have to tell City that he wants to leave, take steps to guarantee it, and may have to burn bridges figuratively along the way to get his wish. I do not see him doing that, he has no reason to do that. He is in a club he loves, with a manager he respects, plus the added bonuses of scoring goals, winning trophies, and acquiring substantial financial security. If the sporting successes of City continues, they happen to stay sanction free, and Pep continues, then it is practically impossible. A successful Haaland deal requires a lot to go in our favour, a perfect storm so to speak. Laporta stands a better chance of seeking his re-election guarantee elsewhere, because if he tries to get Haaland and fails, as in the Nico case, then it will be goodbye Mr. President. Getting Nico, Kimmich, a solid goalkeeper, and a competent Lewy replacement will guarantee his re-election. Bringing Barca back from financial ruin, and completing the Camp Nou will score him major points. Also, winning trophies, say a treble or double will all but guarantee his re-election. He definitely does not need to sign Haaland to guarantee his re-election. Going after Haaland is a potential career ending move, he should avoid, especially if he is doing so as a campaign promise. He can win re-election by taking easily predictable steps. He does not need to break the bank for that.
