Yamaha V6 225 outboard converted to run on LPG
What is the top speed?
Maantap bro
I'd always thought the Savage Dolphin was a full displacement hull. Does your Yanmar get it to plane? And if so, what sort of comfortable cruising speed does it do? I'm looking at getting a Dolphin so would be very grateful to know.
clip ruined by your shit music
Great video,anoying music😎
New friend, watching from Manila, Philippines👍🇵🇭

I'd preferred to listen to that beautiful engine instead of that needless music.
me too. that ruined the video
Quantas milhas ?
Qual hélice? Esta equipando esse motor.
Gday from South Africa.. Your motor is a 2 stroke, correct? what do you do with the lubrication? you use an auto lube? we have the 200 bhp 2 stroke yamahas we need to convert . Can you send some more info? rg Toli Apostolou Durban South Africa
Good job. Ive been wondering whether i can have more fuel economy if i can run 50/50 on both fuel and LPG or propane mix? Is it plausible to do something like most conventional taxi or industrial trucks thats being used nowadays? I would love to hear more from you. Thanks
Great video, great work, i will mention to Bill on Saturday. Sorry to hear about some power loss, Bill on his 125 he converted lost only from memory 5%.
I didn't it was possible with oil injector 2 stroke motors.
I was wondering how well a crankshaft oil injected outboard would run on LPG..... did you alter the ignition timing to suit LPG?.....it made a huge difference on my ute when i went dedicated LPG.....might be your missing horsepower
I have since discontinued development of the LPG system. I had it all going and had good performance figures however due to lack of time (bought my own business) I have gone back to fuel. It was fun giving this a go and Im sure I would have got it working better. I was developing and fitting plenum chamber and gas research carby inplace of the standard carbies. Never really got that going before time ran out. and I should point out that I never got it going on LPG as good as fuel but I tried.
Please email me id like to do this to my 1984 yamaha 200 hotstang460@yahoo.com
hi,very good job plz contact me, for business im from iran salmanadl@yahoo.com
Yes all 2 stroke, vro, & any oil injected models are out. Only traditional 4 strokes can play, but THIS is truly remarkable.. I am not a 'greenie', but don't need be. As an outboard tech I cannot even begin to tell the horrors that ethanol has created in our motors, mainly that it also sucks in moisture rapidly from the air as outboard tanks are vented. And yes when it does go to 15% it will get even worse. Upgrade your fuel lines now or your outboard later! I Welcome Lpg!
@joracer1 If you wont use oil injection you cant do it... you cant premix lpg and oil... Oil injection is very reliable these days.. most systems have fail safe alarms etc...
Ok sound good, but i will not use oil injection, I had one fail cost me $8500, never again i always pre mix now.....It's funny about the lpg "cause we buy it in tanks over here by the pound...a 20lb tank is about 4.5 gals and is about $12 to fill.....propane here is about the same price and gasoline about $3.50 a gal right now.....i just know we are having a world of trouble with the 10% ethanol fuel mixture and they're going to 15% which will be the death of the carburator..
@joracer1 HI there Cost is a bit hard to say cos Im an outboard mechanic and did most of the development myself.. Lots and lots of hours. If you had to pay for it it wouldnt be worth it most likely. The Yamaha is directly oil injected. so oiling is as per normal. If you have a mix in fuel type engine then you wont be able to do this. cont.
1 cost? 2 how does it get oil? I'd hate to ruin a $10,000 engine I always use premix. 3 benefits? other than getting away from ethanol 4 how far can you run on a 20lb tank?
