depends on the weight of the person sleeping above. my daughter weighs 115lbs and my son weighs around 60lbs so it's definitely usable. Remember, this is a lightweight trailer meant to be hauled by vehicles that are not made to tow... if you keep that in mind it will make more sense to you. have a great day friend.

My wife owns a Forester XT and it's also unable to use weight distribution as well. Subaru's are unibody frames vs. a standard tow vehicle which which is a separate frame and separate body attached to the frame, which is called body on frame. You probably have noticed trucks have the monikers F150/1500, F250/2500, F350/3500, etc. You probably have noticed the body isn't very different on any of the above options, however, the frame, suspension, transmissions, and other vital components that enhance towing and carrying cargo are beefed up and upgraded for additional weight. Now when you think of a Subaru, you don't have a Subaru Ascent 150/1500, Subaru Ascent-250/2500, Subaru Ascent 350/3500, you simply have an Ascent with changes to the interior and possibly some other upgrages, but you can't upgrade the unibody with beefier and heavier duty metal to carry more weight. You can do stuff like upgrade sway bars etc to have a better enhanced ride, but you can't upgrade the frame because the frame is intertwined or welded together as a unibody vs. bolted ONTO a frame. If you own multiple pairs of shoes, a unibody would imply you were born with some cool velvet shoes, but when you go hiking you can't upgrade your shoes. when you go swimming you cant switch your shoes, etc. if you had a vehicle that was body on frame you could theoretically unbolt the body and bolt it onto another frame. with a subaru ascent the body and the frame are one and the same. with that said, the weight distribution works with leverage and rely on a frames rigidity to withstand the torque and torsion happening behind tow vehicle. a body on frame's rigidity is completely different than a unibody's rigidity and strength that you'd probably not want disturbed by a weight distribution system if you get in an accident. you'd want 100% of the unibody's strength to go into protecting your family and loved ones. body on frame the body is not affected by this because it's basically an afterthought placed on top of a rigid frame meant for different loads and weights (150/1500 - 250/2500 - etc.). depends on your needs right? if all you have is a vehicle that tows up to 3500 lbs max then having something as light as 1300-1500 dry is great because it provides shelter in a very light package. think about it... it has a restroom, refrigeration, sleeping, cooking, and tons of other benefits that would help you stay safe from the elements. that alone makes these worth a second look! what floorplan do you feel is adequate as an alternate to this rove lite?

hi. when i recorded these we had no batteries. unfortunately, sometimes people walk around unattended and will leave battery disconnects at the ON position so we have these without until delivery or pickup so customer gets a brand new battery included with purchase. hope that helps!

Hey there! Just a reminder, the roof on RVs is constantly exposed to harsh elements, especially UV light, which can cause the sealant to become brittle and crack over time. The excess sealant is actually intentional - the outer layer hardens, creating a protective barrier that shields the sealant in the crevices. This terrible looking dump of protection on the roof can help extend the lifespan of the roof and offer a few extra months or even years of protection from potential water damage. Remember, the roof is not to be looked at... it's to take a couple of lawn chairs, a cooler, and crack some cold ones on the 4th of July while enjoying the fireworks! ;) Hope that helps!

and this is exactly the reason why people should look at the RV they are going to purchase PRIOR to driving it off the lot or having it shipped to their home. every RV is different and will have their own imperfections. The great thing is the flaws you see are fixable and correctable during the PDI and Orientation prior to taking the RV home with you. :)

@@Erin-Thor the Rove Lite series definitely wouldn't be my first pick unless I was driving a Tesla, Subaru, Hyundai, Volkswagen, Jeep, or any other vehicle with a unibody and Max tow of 3500lbs. Maybe you have a different vehicle so you're blessed with the ability to purchase something with more storage. Thanka for watching!!!

Prior to adding solar and the rooftop ac/heat, they bragged about it being a solid piece down to the floor. Wonder about leaking with all these new attachments on top.

What's light for Arnold Schwarzenegger may not be light for the both of us. What's light for a Ford F350 may not be light for a Ford F150. This is made with lightweight materials and composites to help with weight. If this was built using standard building methods and materials it would weigh thousand or more pounds. That's the beauty and benefits of having a plethora of available options to go out camping. These type of travel trailers are meant for lightweight applications where a tow vehicle cannot tow more than a few thousand pounds. The carrying capacity of the Rove Lite series is between 200lbs - 900lbs. I had the same initial concern until I realized these can be towed by practically anything and adding additional underbelly protection would result in additional weight. Travel Lite has made many standard features you're accustomed to as options due to weight concern. When you look at it from the angle of a person with a Honda Odyssey can safely tow a Rove Lite to spend time with their loved ones with a bit of comfort then it hopefully makes more sense. Hi, Daniel. The Rove Lite Series is made for vehicles where every ounce counts due to limited towing or tow capabilities and capacity. If you like the look and style of Travel Lite but want something with a little more weight, room, and additional axles, then you'd want to look at the Travel Lite Falcon 2.0 or something like a Winnebago Micro Minnie for tandem / dual axle availability. You will have a hard time finding tandem axles on a travel trailer that's less than 20 feet unless you're in search of a box trailer for towing and hauling purposes. Is there a reason you'd want this super lightweight RV with tandem axles?
