Awesome season finale with COMSCC at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Fast lap is my last lap (2:35). Slightly damp conditions had me testing grip around the track. ~45 deg F.
Secured 1st in my class (through a bit of luck) and set a new T70 track record.

Ended up getting a 1:20.05 via timing under the bridge. Kept braking way too hard/fast into T1 alone for some reason during TT (aim let me know this was worth ~0.5/0.6 seconds a lap). Decent laps otherwise! Wittmer: I'm coming for you. Yes I did an extra lap. June 2nd, 2024 Time Trial run w/ COMSCC. This was good for 2nd place in T70. First time running Palmer CCW. Track takes some courage to find pace! There's 2-3 seconds to find - I'm lifting in spots I don't need to (e.g straight going into T1), and lazy back to throttle in a ton of spots - but it'll probably take some time to get down into the 46s and beyond. ~2900lbs w/ driver and fluid Stock S...

October 14th, 2023 w/ COMSCC First time at the track. Best of the day was a 16.9, optimal was at 16.2. Was running some RT660s with more than 25 sessions on them. Got a 1:16.9 first session 7 laps out. Was struggling to find time after that, but lap times were getting much more consistent. Car developed some issues before I could throw the good tires on. 15s were on the table for sure! Car Setu...

September 12th, 2023 w/ COMSCC First time at the glen. Not fast.. yet! Ended up running a 2:16.2x as my low for the weekend, Optimal was 2:14.7. Car has so much more time than that, too! Was battling some car issues. Only was able to do 4 out of 7 sessions for the weekend. Favorite track so far - can't wait to head back out there. July 14th, 2023 w/ COMSCC Third event with the car and starting to find some time. Ended up running a 1:23.2x during time trails which was good enough to snag 3rd in T70. Optimal is 21.5. Love it man, great work
Nice driving. Congrats on the record!
Your mins looked better in the TT I think. You think the tow helped?
It might have! I messed up T7 and T9 on my first lap in the TT and couldn't figure it for the rest of the session. Was down around 6 tenths a lap just on those two turns, down 5MPH min speed in T9 alone.
Fast lap my man! Even have the time to adjust your seat belt while driving 😅😊
🤣
damn this looks fun as hell
Excellent work my man!
Way to hustle! Love watching your onboards 😁
Breaking 20s at Thompson is cruising man, congrats. Everything looks smooth on the lap. Any reason you're entering 6 so tight though? Your min speed drops to almost 50 mph and you're not using more than half the track on the exit. It looks very smooth the way you're doing it, but if you enter a bit wider the pavement transition is rougher, but you can likely keep that min speed up considerably, I think I'm around high 50s- 60mph min in that area, and just let the car wash out towards the wall. You're on camber there so you can really stay in it. In a game with 1-3 mph difference in min corner speeds is a big difference, I think you have like 5-7mph you can gain with a different line through there.
I was playing around with cutting distance vs. keeping up Avg Speed. I can get on the gas much earlier with this approach vs going wider (harder to square up, bit traction limited running streets). I need to look at the data to figure out what's faster, as it's still the one spot on the track where the faster guys would really catch up to me, so I don't think it's optimal. That, or I'm not driving this line hard enough.
The Supercar 3R is faster but it's harder to get times out of versus the Re71RS. The Re71RS is closer to max grip from the ou tlap, gets there quickly and doesn't fall off dramatically. The 3R can be outright kinda dangerous on the out lap if it's cold, or damp, all the way to hoosier levels of grip, so as a driver I find it harder to get comfortable/confident with it.
Yeah, there have been some magic sessions on them, but I couldn't figure them out this day. They were pushing SO much more than my RE71RS. Half inch smaller wheel and 10mm less on the tread width compared to the RE71's, might explain a bit of it - but I was struggling in 1 and 8-10 on the RE71's.
I’m 1.1 sec off of you… 1:44:75 🤦🏻♂️ same lines
I think we can both find some time with better lines and using the curbs! Proud of you getting that 44 🥲
@@tjchep I agree :) You did great all day!
Nice lap man! Look like you driven it once or twice 😉
😏
Good stuff! Makes me wanna get out there with you
Come TT!
Nice driving, Tim!
Thanks! Great weekend.
This is awesome dude! Car sounds great, track looks sweet. Nice one!
Sorry about that 😅😅
Nice. I was out there in my blue BRZ, doing similar laps. ruclips.net/video/GDeZuGEu7no/видео.html&pp=ygUNdGhvbXBzb24gc2NkYQ%3D%3D
Laps look great. Love those gen 2 BRZs.

hi dom
Glad to see my brothers car still getting some love :)
haha, trying my best to keep her happy
Awesome lap! Sounds like you're lifting at 7, I don't think that thing makes enough power for that to be needed.
Haha, it doesn't. There's a good handful of areas where I'm leaving time on the table. Oval min speed, committing to gas earlier/more confidently on oval exit, braking a little bit later for T6, _no lifting from 7-9_, getting the car angled more - and earlier- thru 10 so I can be on power earlier to 11, 11 -> 12 I feel fine-ish about. Sub 15 is the goal for next year! I know that's a ton of time but seeing you run 13s in a car with less power that also weighs a little more has me optimistic.
Good laps… you get moved into group 3? Seemed like 4 was a little slow for you lol
I did! Less traffic + people were way more on top of point bys.
You were cooking out there!! I was in the blue BRZ #255 also in group 4. Have you been doing this a long time?
Thanks Ben! If I’m thinking of the right car you were moving good, too. This was my second time on track, but I do sim race quite a bit, which is really helpful. How long have you been tracking for?
my comments keep getting deleted for some reason... I'll try one more time... that's great! This was my 3rd HPDE but I've also done some sim racing and autocross too. I've also found my sim experience translates pretty well to real life except for the danger aspect, lol. Hope you can join us for a race in the iRacing league soon!
I certainly will! Was just looking at times that people were running at Watkins Glenn.. looks competitive!
Nice driving, time to get moved into group 3!
Nice footwork! Really cool track. Bummer about the traffic.
Thanks dude! It’s getting better and better with seat time.
Looks good out there!
Thanks Brother (IL)!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hope the motor is ok, but if it wasn't overheating till you got to the pits and shut it down shortly after then you're prob fine. Thanks for the help yesterday and hope to see yah back out there
Anytime! I didn’t throw any additional coolant/water in there after I noticed the temp gauge creeping up (didn’t want to shock it with coldish coolant). Just ran the efan for a bit to let it cool off. Will diagnose and deal with whatever is up, but will be back out there ASAP. See you soon!
Excellent dude!

Very good phrasing, as always. I really hope to reach your level of phrasing one day Tim! btw, any clue where you found that backing track? It's very nice, I'd like to have it :D
