I think that you have some pitting in the center of the wheel, I used it this morning and it worked very good.

What do you use on the aluminum to protect the aluminum after using this? I don’t want oxidation to occur

Had 3 years of brake dust built up on wheels...bought this at Napa yesterday went to car wash sprayed on wheel let set for about 1 minute it started foaming up took pressure washer to it and rims look new!

Glad to see this demo. I am just starting to revive some elderly Mickey Thompsons and was wondering about that NAPA solution. Looks pretty for a start getting the old crusties off. The first chance you get have those wheel weights taken off and put on the back of the rim. Makes the wheels look so much better and no lead hanging onto the aluminum to discolor it. Also makes washing the wheels easier. Good video.

You should let it seat without agitation first, than use the brush and you'll see a big difference.

if you want to know why it did not do amazingly on those wheels, i likely know the answer, as i have those exact same wheels on my 69 Mustang. They have a thin layer of plastic clear-coat on them, which is blocking the cleaner from making contact on the actual aluminum of the wheels, except in the areas where time and age have cracked, broken, or worn away the clear coating. if you use a stripper agent to remove the clear coat from the wheels, you will be WAY more impressed with the results. That clear coating keeps the wheels nice until 5-10 years later, then all it does is trap moisture and get foggy and faded, ruining the look of your rims and your ability to make them clean and shiny again.

I bought some of this after watching the video the only thing it's good for is taken off brake dust and dirt does not clean the wheel

It its bad, goto lowels, home depot and get some muriatic acid. Reduce by 3/4 water. Spray aluminum , no more than 30 seconds then rinse. Repeat as needed.

First thing, you should be wearing gloves. Napa aluminum brightener contains ammonium bisulfite. Very bad for your skin and nervous system. Secondly, you need to clean the damn wheel first. Aluminum brightener is not a degreaser. It is not a soap. It is a d oxidizing agent.
