It wasn’t C&R this time so I had a chance to have a further look at the eye. Luckily there were no parasites but I also didn’t see any physical damages, though the internal part was pretty bloody. My best guess is that it was blinded by an accident that healed already. The other fish seemed fine, though it shook the hook but I think I would have seen if it had similar issues. I’ll be back for sure, maybe I’ll have a chance to catch more and see if it’s a common thing between them but I doubt that.🤞🤞🤞

Nice! 😊 I was thinking about going after barbel with nymph, but I am not great with a fly rod - which I also demonstrate in some of the videos haha. It looks like trout is in good condition around here & the Pyrenees, not giants in general but the population seems to be good, I can’t complain. When I filmed this I was planning to go for stream barbels but the conditions were bad after so much rain, so I thought I’ll try the river instead. This was a lucky morning.

Eddig az tartott vissza, hogy nyafogtam, mert nem olyan a cuccom ami ide megfelel, illetve minek is, ugyis a fogas es a hal a lenyeg. Kozben meg en is ezeket a hangulatokat szeretem a legjobban, nezni es csinalni meg plane. Szoval a cucc megfelel, csak ugy kell hozzaallnom, a music library amit hasznalok is kezd egyre jobb lenni, halak se zavarnak filmezes kozben 😂😂 Ugyhogy elszorakoztatom magam ezzel es nagyon orulok hogy tetszik.

It’s an old camera so I won’t be super bummed if it falls in.😎It did happen btw during regular shore fishing haha but it’s still rocking. Using these bungee cords makes me feel safer than just leaving it on the riverbank, though a lighter camera would swing less than this one on the board. It’s a process figuring out what is the best for me.

I was going overly light back then with 0.10 braid and 0.17 leader. Right now the same setup is 0.12-13 braid and 0.30 fluoro. There could be barracudas around the rocks… maybe not many in BCN but I don’t want to keep swapping the leader all the time. And the fish doesn’t really mind.

@ fluoro is fine, the braid is way too much imo. Though it depends… what is the average lure weight you use?

@ That’s rather a medium-heavy rod, right? If you plan to cast heavy weights then 0.15, maybe 0.18? I caught tunas with a 10-30g rod and 0.13 braid. So you should be safe with 0.15. If you fish specifically for barracuda, then I would consider a steal leader or at least 0.50 fluoro.

Girona amugy az epicentruma mostanaban a horgaszataimnak, kivalo hely, a Ter-en az eves engedely birtokaban horgaszni is lehet. Jo domis, marnas, pisztrangos palya!

Hey-hey, they are surprisingly picky eaters but can be provoked by crankbaits. Anywho… back to your question, the rivers should be clear enough in a couple of weeks to see them. They like fast current even in very little depth, though some of the big ones enjoy the calm, deep parts too but you can’t see them there. Get yourself a polarised sunglasses and roam around these places. They are really here in great numbers but can be spooked quite easily. If you’d like to make sure if a place works put a worm 🪱 on your jig hook. That’ll do the trick like nothing else. I hope it helps. Don’t forget to rest them before you let them go, they fight until their last drop of energy is gone. They should regain some before they can go back to the current. 🌊

Agreed! Though I enjoy al types of fishing, the unpredictability of a river fishing makes the experience a trophy itself.

Bar szerintem ember nem horgaszik azon a szakaszon, batrabbak a domik arrafele. De a marnak kozeleben labujjhegyen kell jarni/ evezni 😁

Mainly crankbaits, if you look around the channel you’ll see what colours and whatnot. I usually add the good ones to the description. Surface lures work well, little bugs in the spring and small soft minnow plastics on the bottom during winter. Though winter is difficult 😎

@spinningbarcelona they catch everything! The larger versions for Murray cod and Barramundi. The smaller models bass, golden perch, bream. They have a great /unique action.
