You got it !
That sounds amazing!
Too happy and melodic to be general quarters lol
Dope
That was great
Nice! I have never seen what appears to be a front mount Barton American pump mounted on a tailboard. Must be PTO driven. 👍
This truck was a commercial truck that the local department converted into a fire engine. It was the departments first truck
@@bw1895 Wow! They did an awesome job it looks very professional.
I have the same pump I’m going to restore!
Shoot me a message if you need help
Nice pump!
Thanks! It was a challenge to get it pumping again
Good job
"Bugler! Sound off 'action'. Followed by the double." Occurrence : Film, Battle of the River Plate Navy : Royal (hello) Relevance same essential meaning as USN general Quarters as far as i can tell. But in the film the effect is electrifying. You can tell from the pictures i guess that that one call has hundred of guys going from zero to like super speed. Encouraged no doubt by a few well chosen words from their Petty Officers. Not a complaint just a shame you've no milliion dollar budget film to b ig up yiour horn as were. Same general Quartrers that sounded at Pearl Harbour., Midway, Iwo Jima et al? juis ind of a shame kndly forgive any offence gvren, i am pure coivilian,,nop service record at all and thank you
oops as you were, there's number of general quarters movierr recordings. best example so far is In Harm's Way (1965) John Wayne, Kirk Douglas , Clip 3, HD Eddie 68
The navy should have had the sheet music for it.
"General Quarters,General Quarters, all hands man your battle stations.Proceed up & forward on the portside, and down & aft on the starboard side. This is NOT a drill!"
Old Navy here. You did very well.
1 minute 14 seconds of gasbagging followed by 14 seconds of actual playing, followed by another 12 ish seconds of gasbagging. 😈call me a troll but it should have been headlined as “talking about playing general quarters on a M 1892 bugle”.
Please feel free to post a video of you playing general quarters on a bugle. Then you can make the video however you want it to be.
@@bw1895 I thought I was going to watch something so I didn’t have to. I can’t play the bugle…I can sure talk though.
@@todaywefly4370 it is best to be silent and thought a fool, than it is to speak and remove all doubt. Just a small piece of advice for you
@@todaywefly4370 or if you feel so inclined you can sponsor my videos and I’ll make them just the way you want
@@bw1895 🤣🤣🤣 credit for the sense of humour….
Good Job, Fmr TSgt RD Young
Well done
I am an Australian and have only heard 'general quarters' played on the bugle in war movies, but it sounded pretty good to me, well done, mate!
Thanks!
An example can be found here (along with a few more) ruclips.net/video/Ua_h3FgGa3k/видео.html and here ruclips.net/video/Jy6rm1kKFio/видео.html
Not bad! Good job!
Slightly modified, this is also the British Royal Navy call for Flying Stations: ruclips.net/video/vp3ePUrGIt0/видео.html
looks good! when pumping water be nice
Perfect that's Exactly what they use in the John Wayne's movie In Harm's Way
Sounded spot on from the movie. The only thing I don’t think you can reproduce is the general quarters “gong”sound but that is mechanical not a music instrument. By the way doing it from memory and from awhile ago, your pretty sharp👍
Keep up the Great work
Thank you for the Great video
This is Not A Drill General Quarters All Hands man you Battle stations
Sounded good to me.
