Haha yeah, I realized that it was possible in the middle of a previous record on this channel (the 36k one iirc), but it completely blew my expectations out of the water in terms of effectiveness. I had honestly thought that 50k was about as high as it could go at that point. Never could have imagined that I could reach 100k+

For non red sealed kings yes, but for red sealed it doesn't matter (red sealed is 3 activations multiplied by 4 tickets, so swapping would still be 3x4). Also 2bp on sock increases our scoring a LOT so it's not something that would even be an option until late into the run.

That's awesome! My strategies evolved pretty quickly, but I still find it crazy that I thought 36k was such a good score not too long ago lol. Unfortunately I haven't seen anyone trying to fight for the record at this point and I don't have the motivation currently to push it any higher. That said 150k is certainly possible (I would've gotten it on this run with a second minus ante voucher). Maybe I'll try for it eventually but I think the major innovations have already happened and now it's just about smaller optimizations--which I find a lot less exciting. It's also tough that there's so much luck required to get any higher and you might not know a run is doomed until 4 hours in.

You mean like a discord server for the RUclips channel? I don't because I really only uploaded stuff to be able to prove my records were legit. I might do some more videos with voiceover or live commentary in the future if I feel like it but that would mostly just be for my own enjoyment. I don't have any plans to do anything serious on RUclips at all. Also really appreciate such high praise but there are many players who are better than me. I just worked out a niche in this category of runs for myself.

@@adamgoodman3117 i mean any discord a lot of people are better but they all do seeded runs and i just dont like seeded runs this is a lot cooler and more original

That wiggle is due to the ptsd from countless great looking runs being lost because I couldn't find polychrome. You have to get it EARLY too! Definitely the moment that I went from thinking the run was great to that it might be *the* run though.

You're right that I'm missing out on some money but with the joker setups in this run I value safety over max efficiency. Losing 12 dollars on ante 2 just doesn't matter with how much is being made later. Also the mental drain of keeping track of scoring to play with max efficiency just isn't feasible to keep up with over a 3+ hour session.

Tarot cards you are currently seeing (in your hand or the shop or the booster pack) are disallowed from spawning (cf. Showman in that it removes this limit). This can be abused. If you possess negative copies of every tarot card but three (through [multiples of] perkeo) you can perform the infinite loop of using an emperor card to produce the only two tarots you dont have, the fool and a temperance. Using the fool you recover your emperor but now you have an extra temperance card. Repeat!

An infinite money exploit where with perkeo you can loop emperor/fool/hermit. Basically a strategy that ruins this category of records lol.

Yeah I'm not sure what was going on with the audio at all. I didn't change anything from previous videos but it is completely out of whack. I'll try to figure it out for the next one!

Thank you, that's incredibly kind. Honestly this run was so beyond lucky that I can't really believe it happened. I was pretty mentally locked in from the first shop when I saw how disgusting the setup I had was but yeah, I definitely think it had a LOT to do with the seed. Either way I really appreciate such awesome praise :)

Haha at that point I wasn't sure if I was going to pick up an invisible joker down the line and since it was a useless Joker I just didn't grab it. I think I skip one or two more later in the run either because they will have no effect or because they will increase the amount of time required to play each hand (due to animations) without much of a scoring bump. It does feel crazy to just not take them but those are the reasons why I don't!

@@adamgoodman3117 The counterpoint is that for the bosses that require you to sell a joker/disable a random joker then those can be used instead of an actually good joker

@@farkler4785 I'd already seen that Boss earlier in the run so I knew that wasn't going to happen, but yeah you're right that that is a consideration as well.

Lol I don't usually sell any Jokers I end with but since it was doing literally nothing the entire time I had it I figured I might as well get that $6, you know?

Notice I was immediately blessed for my restraint in passing up the legendary with a polychrome king ahaha

Thanks! I think I'm going to stop here on this record for now since it's hard to imagine an improvement when this run had 2 very good natural negatives and a minus ante voucher. Not sure what I'll work on next but ig we'll see! Appreciate seeing the same people in the comments across multiple vids btw :)

I've done around 50 hours of attempts since I came up with this strategy (namely using Burglar for 20 hands in conjunction with everything else) back in the $37k video. I've had 2 good attempts other than this one, one of which is uploaded to the channel. It's tough to say how many runs I've done because sometimes I reset instantly and sometimes I don't know a run isn't going to work until 3 hours in.

Haha I did not like it one bit either but even if I had all hearts I think I still would've passed on it because it would've made my scoring too erratic and I needed to know exactly how much was going to score to be able to play as many cards as I could each hand.

Oh yeah it did lol. I was going insane thinking I might not be able to get a polychrome king when everything else was working out so well. When I'm bored one day maybe I'll go back and count just how many Aura cards it took to get it. Had to have been at least 15.

I got one from the shop around Ante 10 (ghost deck allows spectral cards to appear there) and just let Perkeo copy it over and over. I didn't need to start using any copies of them until around Ante 18 but I needed a huge stockpile to try to reach the final ante.
