Just curious why are you comparing Shinny Asym balls to a Symmetrical ball?

This review really shows the difference between the two styles and is very helpful. I fall into the low rev category, but can see how the high rev bowler opinion would be useful for those bowlers as well.

Bro. Content is good, however if you guys are gonna compare balls the layouts should be exactly the same or as close as possible. I wish the Phisx blackout and 3-d offset were the same layout . I think they are closer in reaction than portrayed in the video.

Being a very low rev bowler it is great to finally see a low rev bowler demo a ball and give his opinion. It really, really helps.

Love your 2 handed form. I recently converted to 2 handed and studying other bowlers' swing styles.

If you’re comparing, especially the two hander, should you not be throwing the same lines? You were swinging the widow out way more, and rolling the blackout through the mids much more, so that of course is going to naturally give those exact results (Blackout seeming smoother, etc)

I know you misspoke, but hearing you say "Blackout Mania" at 1:10 made me chuckle.

I got the oversees 3d offset hybrid and love it. Used it game one sunday for a 230 and im averaging just over 160 this year. I might get this to pair with it and the original 3d from a few years ago.

2-handed high rev??? Seems odd to say

I have a widow hybrid 2.0 and having it redrilled with a 1.5" short pin helped me out a ton. the move off the spot isn't as aggressive but it still covers plenty of boards because its still a widow. Keeping big asyms in front of me as a 2 hander is an uphill battle.

I’m deciding between this and the Physics Blackout. Any suggestions on which would I should get?

As a new member, I will of course keep my comments positive.... Tom is a great guy, got to meet and talk to him just haning out in Wauwautosa in 2023 at the WSOB. Brutally honest in a 1-1 conversation and didn't hold back his opinions. Any sport with struggling marketing and participation is going to need corporate sponsorship, so Bowlero is always going to look bad - but if they can't make bowling profitable.. who will? I mean, if we think that bowling centers can be profitable on $4-$5 a game plus a couple of cheap beers... well let's just say this isn't 2010 anymore.

had to put poweredge on my physix blackout. didn't like the shape with the out of box finish

I always found the widow core Gas mask to work best for me with a 4x4x1 layout. It makes it do the right thing.

I prefer control pieces

Finally a review with someone who bowls like me...

While I appreciate the fact that you cover both high and low rev styles, using balls with different layouts adds a huge question mark for me. I know lots of folks are trying to put out that layout doesn't matter but it does, and it changes end of lane reactions.

I keep watching all these videos of bowling ball and I just don’t see it. To me they all look the same. I can’t tell when it’s angular or more continuous. Just not really sure what I’m looking at. Trying to learn so I can pick a better ball suited for me but I just don’t have the eyes for it.

Honestly I never see many 2handers liking widows.

These are the types of reviews people can learn from. You have a high rev player and an actual low rev player. Using different bowling balls in different parts of the lane. I am sick of seeing every review being the same guys throwing it from 25 to 7 with every single ball. Thank you for actually doing something different.
