I am the co-writer of Mike's first book, "I Feel Your Pain" -- available at malaskagolf.com, and on Amazon. These videos are clips from his teaching and clinics that I watch everyday. The info is so good, I wanted to share the highlights. (Finally, this game is starting to make sense.) Mike's philosophy is, if we first understand what we are trying to do, we can all ultimately succeed. You can definitely 'get' this game. Promise. Good luck. Oh, and please go buy the book -- and you'll see how it all comes together.
Piano improvisation - how to write a song - welcome to rock improv
Hey this is Piete... I've been playing piano for 50 years and recently decided to learn how to sit down and just make stuff up. I'll show you how I do it. And how you can do it too.

Mike Malaska And Bob Toski Swing with your arms, not your body
So something very interesting with this Dynamic I can actually do both of these no problem. The one where he's holding it off flies much higher and I literally can't miss it left. These concepts are actually very powerful and they're both very effective for playing golf. The one he is talking about with the rotation is technically easier to time once you understand the Dynamics but they're both feasible. I could see why he favors the rotation over the unhinging one though. In simple terms with the rotation all you're trying to do is sync up your arm rotation with your body rotation so if your torso is very fast your arms have to rotate much sooner and if your torso is very chill then your arm can rotate a lot smoother.
Bob Toski is a genius

Great
Problem is not every golf coach is a Mike Malaska or a Bob Toski.
Very hard to learn this move!
Never thought I'd see Bob Toski twerk!
good cards man!
Great Golfer/ teacher, this man knows Golf like Hogan, Nelson, Snead and all the greats. Thanks Bob for the all you did for Golf.
First! Great job
Mike is a genius. That feeling of turning the steering wheel to the left really is the magic move!
As a musician, I can’t stand behind Mike’s use of musical terms, haha! This lesson was very helpful though. Thanks! (3/4 and 4/4 time signatures are played at many different tempos.).
This us exactly why do many your pros now use a dead hand ✋ swing for wedges.
Golf is an underhanded game, Just like skipping stones on water!
this is gold
Love this
What a star Bob Tosky is
I don't feel 20 to 30 pounds of force in the club head as it swings around me. I may have to lighten my grip a little. If my feet are running the swing, I think it happens naturally. "How do we make putting athletic?". Great question!!
I had the pleasure of going through one of Mr. Toskis clinics at the legends of golf in Palm Springs. What a great guy he explained some things very simply he had us realize that it impact the handle changes this direction. It’s not a baseball swing where you’re holding on because the picture made the speed. You need to release. Then to explain that he had us pick up a ball and throw it and see how your arms and shoulders works and how that felt he said that’s how your golf swing should feel! He is legend great guy
👍
Killer info from the Malaska man as usual. 👍
That was my problem because everyone told me to use my body to hit the ball. I now know that I need to fell and use the force from the weight of the clubhead to make my body go with it. Thanks, Mr Malaska, you are the best!!!!
Freaking awesome video. Thank you both
So good! Excellent teacher and willing student!
3.52 - I think this golf course is on the moon.
This lesson was FUN ! The joy on Mike’s face was wonderful.
My HC 10 and stuck, probably i need to apply this swing principle to play better, thanks for posting
thank you, you have given us a golf game that lasts a lifetime !!!!
Who is Ashley?
Timeless information that is so important. Thank you for sharing
Come on man! Physiology would tell us that the right eye controls the left hand . he's an amazing man I've been to his clinic at the legend in Palm Springs. He had a pitch a ball to feel what your body would feel like and swing the club in like manner. The right eye controls the left hand. Central control is above your right ear in the right hemisphere of your brain. Nice dry and I swing
Sorry for the typos. I use voice command and it changed a couple words after I upload it he had us pitch a ball...
Nice try
Hi mike Great 👍🏼 video I have been doing this for years My right foot is on the toe before I hit the ball After I play I get a lot of back pain could this be the cause of it I love watching your videos the way you teach the golf swing is very good and easy to follow Thanks Paul
That was awesome. Now I have to find something with a little weight to swing.
Ok 👌
That was one very good lesson...
Wtf is he on about
this is high PHD level for feel practice and will help your brain to learn, Awesome
Best teacher
Never a bad video!
That hilarious what Bob said "what to sit on your ass and try that?"
Pretty much the best golf instructor on fundamentals, and Mike's spot on. Numerous instructors use misleading terms to teach students resulting in endless improvements and corrections forever and making the game harder than it should be, albeit golf is already hard. My 10-year-old junior used to get stuck in the downswing. In worldwide junior tournaments, she has been among the best even with stuck issues and therefore compensations thereof. After adopting Mike's concepts a few months ago, everything started to get "on plane." For reference, we have had some experienced coaches along the way. A few of them had no comments on these concepts. Be that as it may, I asked my daughter to risk Mike's concept months ago because it made a whole lot of sense in physics! You can't go wrong with physics and you can be very wrong to try to achieve the "correct" positions in the swing. Thanks, Mike.
It's amazing. I look at this swing and I would think she would win all the time. She's never won on the LPGA tour or overseas for that matter. It just shows you are hard it is to win on these professional tours. Then you look at a Lexi Thompson with one of the ugliest swings I have ever seen but she wins. If golf isn't mental I don't know what is.
I personally know a guy who played on the PGA tour, who once told me this on a driving range...............Golf is the one game no one can figure out completely. That is why teaching pros will always have a job, because people think they have some magical answer. All they can really do for you is set you up properly to hit the ball......In an actual swing, you're hoping a clubhead traveling 80 mph or more will hit a golf ball with the face no more that 1/4th" open or shut....it's almost impossible to do that very often unless you're a full time player. So if you have the correct pre-shot fundamentals down already, (grip, stance, posture), then you're really wasting your money on lessons. Just go play.......some days your timing and putting will be better than others, so some days you'll score better than others. It's as simple as that.
eddie brown yep, agree
Its funny how i been playing golf for 20 years and this is the most usefull information i needed.
I've been playing for 56 years. I've studied everything and taught. This is the simplest way to play golf and the easiest to teach.
You can teach yourself to play buddy
I tried this and my good shots were better then ever but my bad shots were shocking. Is it a feeling of the club head going way outside the hands at the start of the downswing
As a former hockey player -- I spent decades trying to learn golf in a way that was so opposite from what was my natural cadence and rhythm. Mike is a godsend. This has made the game so much more manageable. through pure hand eye coordination I had gotten to a mid single digit but hit a wall with a lack of consistency from day-to-day. This technique has really been a game changer for me -- and I can already tell that my game doesn't get too loose with this technique. Mostly flushing contact -- and other than some putting issues, nothing really from tee-to-green that is keeping the game back anymore
jesus is the answer
Best teacher out there. Been trying this for several weeks and it feels so incredibly counterintuitive, but when you see it on video all the correct positions just hammer into place effortlessly. Incredible.
Great lesson Mike! You're the man, so spot on
