are one size fits all ? what size would that 12000 be ? are there smaller ones ?
Sorry I’m not sure what you’re asking? There’s 14000 12000 and 5500 size reels in the shimano
Energy is very expensive in UK? Some lights in the studio would help..😅
Haha 😜
Always carry a proper care kit. Mine includes ulcer swab to clean wounds when required, propolis and orabase powder to seal body wounds. I believe there is now a 3 part kit you can get specifically for carp. Use on every capture and only keep the fish out of the water long enough to weigh and photograph
Thanks Steve
Are 5500xtd good for 13ft rod ? Can it cast 110m ?
I can cast 110m with my 25 size Daiwa reels which are the same size as the 5500, it’s easier with the bigger size reels but line and rod dependant
Speaking about the cheap bastard that I am, when I bought the Ultegra's XTD were 120E/piece....and that was 10 years ago..... They are still as brand new with 1 out of 4 having only a little scratch on 1 spool.... Spod still spods at 200meters and catches catfish the size of small cars. Carbon washers were 3E per set, now if you want to replace the washers are 7E per set...... I have 2 Aero Technium MSG.....but I always take those 4 XTD, because I do not need more..... I've seen Daiwa crack apart in time, but I doubt that those are because of Daiwa, and more about abuse of the owner......but god damn, my Ultegras are 10 years and don't show it (I use them for feeder fishing, carp fishing, casting, they are my go to reel at a cheap price) ..... Emblems are great, but at a greater price, and need like you said an upgrade for the drag (but I;ve upgraded my ultegras to carbon to, so it's a tie)..... but a bit more expensive for fairly the same things..... And at this point in time paying 300E for a reel, XR's have exploded in price, or a sweet Daiwa Emblem, they kinda seem bonker for thinking I'll bin 4 reels that have stood the test of time and have enough memories to write books about them.....
Why replace them if they arnt broken and do the job mate totally right! That’s some serious spodding 200m hats off to you pal that’s skill.
My top tip for carp care is i always always carry propolis mouth and body treatment for every session throughout the year i use bottles of the stuff as carp anglers we owe it to the carp and ourselves to protect the carp for the future, great video carper gear great value for money.👍 products.
Cheers Kevin thank you
Great review mate. Helped me make a decision and I'm going for the fox because of the extra lid storage and the fact it allows the different size containers to fit more easily. Aside from that also think I will go for the Fox rig boxes again flexibility with interchangeable lids will allow me to streamline depending on where I'm going.
Thank you for watching pal much appreciated
The basic one you can search online and get exactly same box for just over a 5er
Happy days great info who makes it?
Code doesnt work😢
For Parker baits?
@@CaravanCarpers for carper tackle
I don’t have a code for carper tackle mate it’s Parker baits
Hello, je regrette de ne pas parler anglais car la traduction automatique est presque incompréhensible même si parfois elle est très drôle , votre chaîne a l'air de très bonne qualité , Merci.
Thank you hopfully this translates back for your self 👌🏼
Always have a bucket of water at the side of the cradle.make sure carp safety gear is out before your rods.and always carry carp care for missing scales and mouth wounds
Cheers pal thank you for watching!
Unhook the fish in the net and take net off handle before lifting out, easier to lift a net without a handle. And loosen line, seen so many people lift their rod/net & pull the hook out as they do...Can you recommend a decent winter suit? Been looking at Trakker cr3 & dam xtherm due to 8000mm rating but mixed reviews online.
Hiya pal! Luke has the older tracker 3 piece suit, he likes it but it’s bulky. I use an Aqua f12 torrent coat and pants but have a heated gillet underneath. Really warm and you can wear a T-shirt and this in ure bed chair. If you come out for a fish in the night you can then just click the heat higher on the vest and it keeps you toasty warm till you get more layers on. Much less bulkier.
Hi all, not sure if top tip but I've learnt this the hard way. Agree with net and mat ready to go BEFORE your rods go out AND ENSURE you mat is on level ground, had a nice fish slipping away at 2 in the morning which is not fun. Hope that helps someone 🎣🐟
Thanks Andrew much appreciated 👌🏼
What bag was it .? What u got now .?
I’ve got the Korda one now 60L absolutely love it.
My carp care tip... I ran out of carp care spray. Couldnt get any from my local tackle shop. Was advised that Betadine Green antiseptic spray is as good as anything that is on the carper market. Its waterproof and an acceptable antiseptic on my local carp fishery.
Never herd of that in the UK but happy days thank you for watching 👌🏼
@@CaravanCarpers Yeah, I live in Portugal. Betadine Green is an oral anti septic. Is basically a waterproof antiseptic for humans that works well for hook holds and scars on Carp
Happy days 👌🏼 how is carp fishing in Portugal
@@CaravanCarpers Lots of opportunities in rivers and dams. Most dams have carp, not always the bigest but they pull like a train when caught! A few commercial carp lakes with carp 60lb+ Plenty of opportunities 🙂
Nice! Sounds like you have stuff to go at over then 👌🏼
I am returning to carp fishing after several years out for family reasons. Carp Tax is exactly that! Unbeliebable prices if anything is associated to carp fishing! Shopping around, even on some of the "import" websites, you can find some real bargains!
Glad you’re back mate and hope you are enjoying it. It’s crazy what you can find on there isn’t it! Thanks again for watching much appreciated.
@@CaravanCarpers Keep up the great videos! Loving being back into carping. Experimenting and trying to find what works in new to me waters!
Thank you a couple more have been recorded this week 👌🏼
Preparation for weighing and photogrphy whilst the fish is rested. Resting is key along with plenty of water at hand whilst it is on the bank.
Thank you mate 🤘🏻
My carp care tip is to get your landing net and cradle/unhooking mat out and ready before you even think of getting your rods out. Far too often do people leave this until after a rod is in the water by which time (if your lucky) it could be too late!
I said in a earlier post this caught me out when I first started carp fishing. I flicked one in the edge and put the rod down to set the net up next time and before i got the rod down it ripped off instantly 40 secs later. Luckly the stink bag was next to me. You only do it once 😂😂😂
Just bought a set of the emblems ( gold spools)absolutely brilliant reels the best I’ve ever used
Great reels arnt they Lee
Take your time with the fish making sure to be gentle in the unhooking and netting process, have your carp care kit ready
Thank you pal
Main think is look after the carp an have every think ready before you take the carp out of the water have your carp care kit close to hand to treat hook holds an wounds on the fish and enjoy your fishing that fish could your pb
Hopfully the next one if for you pal thanks for watching
I have light set of Daiwa emblem br 25 a reels with kaizen 12 feet rods and 0.24 braided line. I Dont know much about this stuff but those work like dream. cant think anything i would improve. Light set with really good cast range.
Yea mate the Daiwa 25 reels are fantastic couldn’t think of anything I would swap mine for
my carp care tip is to have everything ready before the alarm even goes off, great video, good luck everyone! 🎣🎣
Thank you pal thanks for watching
You can't beat good old propolis. Essential piece of tackle for anyone who cares about fish welfare. Great video as ever @caravancarpers 👌🏻👍🏻
Cheers Lee mate much appreciated! Literally prepping filming Tuesdays as we speak 👌🏼
Brilliant review quality stuff 👍🏻🔥
Thank you pal!
I am quite a beginner in the carp fishing world, but you defo need to have all your care items nicely prepared and within close reach so you don't keep the fish out of the water longer than needed for weighing and a pic.
I am quite a beginner in the carp fishing world, but you defo need to have all your care items nicely prepared and within close reach so you don't keep the fish out of the water longer than needed for weighing and a pic.
👌🏼
My carp care tip is always dry your carp care kit in sunlight and if your fishing another lake disinfect ur gear stop disease.
Yes mate! I hate it when you get to a lake and they have no dip tank should be mandatory 👌🏼
I have the cradle great item only one thing there is no drain holes it the retainer is a great idea to safe space
I actually like it holds water personally believe it or not. Keeps the fish nice and wet
As allways a great video, best wihes from germany, eric
Thank you Eric mate 👌
Always use a mat
👌🏼
Even better just look at course gear No camo tax on it
Course gears just as expensive to be fair pal do you not think?
My carp care tip is to have absolutely everything prepared before taking the fish out of the water. Treatment and weighing products by the mat/cradle, camera setup and ready, plenty of fresh water in the bucket and lots of it on the mat before the fish goes on there.
Thank you 👌🏼
My best tip would be to unhook in the net to get the rod out of the way then secure the net and let the carp rest while you relax after the fight and get all the mat scales and photographic gear ready so you are calm and focused on the job in hand 🎣🎣
Thank you
Great review lee.ive got the solar p1 stainless it was ridiculously expensive but the misses treated me,still like new 4 years on.im also getting old and tight 😂
Haha I’ll have to have a look when we are out in a few weeks pal!
Ive missed your honest reviews. So glad tackle Tuesdays are back
Thank you very much!
I’ve really enjoyed your videos especially comparing products like the tackle boxes but I’m most impressed by the carp tackle weigh sling that folds up. Please keep up the product reviews as they really help deciding on stuff. Much grassios
Thank you for your kind words pal! I just need to keep getting tackle to keep it up, I have a fair few weeks of reviews to get done. Fingers crossed as the channel grows I can do more and more
Wychwood mat and Wychwood sling and Wychwood bucket with rope but when I got the money I will buy Poseidon Angelsport tackle ... Wychwood is amazing but Poseidon is the best quality on the market and the highest price of course 😅😢😮
Carp tip: use the fuc*ing bucket 🪣 and don't forget the mat and the sling at home, if you know you will know 😅😅😅
I really like your videos. Keep em coming. I live in the states and carp fishing getting more momentum. Carp care is also being promoted on more and more social media groups. My tip is to have a good photo taking setup and learn to use it and prepared before taking the fish out of the water. There is not very many people around when you catch here so we have to take pictures alone.
Do you have instagram? If so give me an add on there and any questions related to doing your photos alone happy to help. I’m going to do a video on it also in the future. Would love one day to do some carp fishing in America!
@@CaravanCarpers following. Thank you again.
👌🏼
Appreciate the as ever review mate, i also hope you're feeling better
Thank you pal
Any Bucket full of fresh water from the lake, refresh regularly when warm , keep the carp wet and safe when in the cradle
Thanks for watching
Propolis. Always make sure you have some to treat the any signs of distress or wounds on the fish.
Thank you for taking the time to watch
I would have everything ready plus have carp care liquid to hand so can put on carp mouth and any other parts, and I would also have the nd water pump next to where I was taking pictures do would always have plenty of water to hand to keep the carp wet and safe and I’ll put the carp in my carp cradle with high sides
Cheers dereck thank you for watching 👌🏼
All your gear set up first, landing net cradle/mat, retainer, a decent floodlight on a tripod for those 3am takes along with the trusty headtorch I keep mine on those little magnetic hooks on the pram hood of the bivvy, forceps and care kit in a small container or pouch. Just knowing where everything is makes a big difference
Nothing worse than fumbling around in the dark looking for stuff is there
@@CaravanCarpers especially when your bodies moving and your brains still sleeping 🤣
I think that’s how I am 24 hours a day mate 😂😂😂
I lost my sling somewhere while I was batshit drunk... might look into this one
Definitly worth a look mate thanks for watching
@@CaravanCarpers just had a look. Unfortunately unavailable in Germany. That sucks
@@liammackenzie6959 gutted pal sorry to hear this
Always wet ur carp mat with fresh lake water before putting fish on it in hot wheather
👌🏼
my tip doesn't save money but does save some heart ache. Don't be tight and change your hook links and main line as soon as they start to look worn. The fish I've lost due to a hook link or main line letting me down is unbelievable, all that time on the bank and then not landing a fish because I'm too tight to spend a few pounds keeping my kit in good condition
Yes mate great bit of advice i always like to check my mainline as there’s always bits of damage on the first few rod lengths if your not careful
My Top tip has already been said make sure all your carp care kit is ready before you start fishing also if you see a beginner hooked into a fish take the time and offer to show them how to go through the process properly 👍
Great shout that one pal! Always be willing to help totally agree 👌🏼
The carp sling and bag is only what Shimano made 15 years ago even foldable & in a very good welded seam bag so nothing new! The carp cradle is also very much along the lines of the shimano from 16 years ago
I wonder why they didn’t keep the line going as it’s a great product. Thanks for watching
Your reviews are 1st class! I have no idea why they stopped making the products but I must agree the foldable slings are so much easier, the shimano sling and cradle are the best I've owned and still going strong today!!
Treat it like gold bar then mate, I’d be gutted when something I’d had so longs wore out
