whenever this issue happens ( fan runs ), the keyboard, mouse, screen locks for couple of seconds. FIX:: Disable windows services: 1) dell data vault collector 2) dell data vault service API hope it helps, ensure your software updates are up to date. you can check them with using dell support Assist.

Hi! How to add exrra time (for penalty) during the game? It says Error
I figured these issues were to do with Dell software, didn't happen until i'd installed all the Dell/Alienware crap.. Mine doesn't rev the fans but it suddenly stutters/freezes for a few seconds, sound usually keeps playing OR everything slows down, almost slow motion, for a few seconds! Lets see if this works for this laptop too! Also disabled some Alienware crap too.

hola, no me queda claro como llegar a la opción donde poner en OFF el bonus. Es decir, que unicamente funcione como cuenta regresiva a cero y allí se termine.
please follow these. step1: switch OFF the chess clock and then turn it ON. ( dont press anything else yet ) step2: Hold the PLAY/PAUSE button ( long press ) - now you will enter into the program or the edit mode. step3: press once the PLAY/PAUSE button - this is to move or navigate to the next one. continue to press once each time, till you go to the bonus section step4: once you reach bonus section, reduce the numbers to 0 using the - button. ( this will turn OFF the bonus opton) step5: continue to press the PLAY/PAUSE button once until you come to the game timing screen. thats it. now you can play without the bonus option. let me know if that helps ?

no it does not. these are dell only services. I have turned it off at my end to avoid the annoying freeze while playing games or working

I've got a Alienware 18 R3. I had to disable the entire range of Dell services (6 in total) to get the fan running in the normal speed.
glad to hear that. these services collect computer information and send it somewhere i think. should have been disclosed in the privacy statement.
