A lucky few moments, with a Tree-toed Woodpecker
My first meeting and experience with a Tree-toed Woodpecker. Me and my love was walking a trail through the forest when suddenly this bird came flying and landed on a tree just next to the trail. As I did not have the camera at hand I had to spend time getting it out of the bag. Thankfully the woodpecker was kind enough to stay calm and close allowing me a few minutes of photo and footage.

WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY - Bears - Wolves - Wolverines in Finland
Просмотров 3,3 тыс.5 лет назад
After 5 days wildlife photographing bears, wolves and wolverines in Finland, I suddenly decided it was time to start filming for a future RUclips channel I had been carrying in my gut for quite some time. With out any sound or camera equipment for vlogging I had to use what I had. My 6 year old Samsung Note 3 (yeah I know) So here is the result, my video Nr 2 ever created, and episode 1 of 3 (t...

Baiting photography.. what can i say🤐
It's the norm here in Europe and Scandinavia/Norway. You can live a whole life here and never see a bear. Because there are almost none. It's not like we can go to a river and see 20 bears fishing while 10 photographers stand there photographing.
@@BaaPhoto i see.. so Baiting the subjects to get the shots you want is Normal there in Europe.. what do you use for Bait? do you go to the market and buy Meat? or you drive around hoping to find a roadkill?
@@Banjmedina We are not doing it out self. We rent a hide at locations that have permits to do so. This location is in the "no man land" close to the Russian border in Finland. They bait with salmon offcuts, different roadkills and dog pellets. I would much prefer to have a chance to photograph and experience wolfs and bears in the wild my self. But that is not possible where we live. =)
he Borge is back on You tube - great - looking forward to more things
Hey buddy =) I try hehe, but it is hard to commit the time =)
Hi Borge, nice woodpecker. Hope to see new stuff from you more frequently 😊
Thank you bud =) I hope so too. I will try to make an effort =) Thanks!
shame to see the rope that holds the carcass, so it is little wild. anyway beautiful adventure, I wish it was me in your place
Totally agreed =) If it's not roped the bear will drag the carcase away from the hides. =)
very nice setup and ofcourse the music too 😁
Thank you =) Nice nick name =)
Fabulous!!..📸
Thank you =)
👍👍👍
Thank you =)
Very nice video 👍👍👍👍
Thank you Morocco =)
Perfect, hard to find reviews of this hide, I would just attach a bolt and nut to the plate and have it attached at all time. Been thinking about getting a mr jan hide for a while, now a few years later. do you still use it and what do you think? Love the shots of the swallows in the end there, superb! Cheers !
Hi =) Thanks for the comment and question. Yes I still have this, and I have the other version mrjangear sells. the V2. Love them both. The V1 is a bit more durable i would imagine, the V2 give you a lower perspective and is lighter. It also partly collapse so you can quickly get it up and running with out taking to much room.. Depending on how scary you think having camera and lens close to the water. I would recommend V2. IF you feel safer with more distance to the water and want less parts that could fail. Go for V1
lovely video i hope you make some more films thanks
Thank you so much. I do have plans on making more videos. My hope is to sometime in the future make it at least one a month =)
nice video and great pictures, thanks a lot for the effort you put in it! Nice tune at the end btw :)
Thank you so very much Aiko =) Glad you like the tune, I love it my self!
damn, soooo dope!
Thanks ! hehe =)
Great video... Thank you !
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment =)
Superb photography, exciting subject matter, breathtaking video - a great combination for a sucessful youtube photography channel. I strongly encourage you to keep up and if possible increase the channels content. Congratulations on the quality of your initial offerings.
Thank yo so incredible much for them motivating words. I will as you suggests, keep working on the content. There is more in the pipe and Im trying to juggle work, family and hobby as best I can =)
Nice introduction! Thank you!
Thank you =)
Insane how much preparation goes into this Ö Great video! Does the black standard thing on which your camera gets attached come with the tent?
Hello, sorry for late response. Things have been hectic to say the least. At first it looks like its much, but you get organized and find a way to shorten the preparation time down. The black thing is called a Gimbal , its like a tripod ballhead only a gimbalhead hehe. It do not follow with the hide.
Just found your channel and subscribed really interested in a floating hide great review
Thank you so much Camilla. Im so sorry for the late respond. Things have been hectic. There is a floatinghide photography group on facebook that is all about this kind of photography. You should check it out =) Cheers
@@BaaPhoto Thanks will check that one out
Excellent work and great tips it's very informative to me for my next floating bird photography adventure Hope i know this floating brand to make an order for a new one
Thank you so much Ali Almesri. And so sorry for the late response . Check out the flatinghide photography group on facebook. Lots of motivation there
very nice
Thanks =)
Put a washer in front of the screw head & at the nut end, It will not only enable you to screw it tighter, but will also stop the screw head biting into the plastic. 🇬🇧
Thank you ...
Amazing footage that's a great place! greetings
Thank you Vela =) Looking forward to next years trip, hope to get a good wolf image for my walls =)
Wolverines look actually pretty scary :D I enjoy hides, I really would like to build an own hide not too far from now!
Yeah they looks so damn angry hehe. I love hide photography my self, I have several tents but for short term and long term use. Floating hides and so forth. Im also working on permanent hides at several locations locally. Wish I had some known location for owls here were I live. We have owls, but Im not aware of where to find them yet.. Thanks for comment and subscription, we need to help each other out I think =) feel free to add me to facebook (if you have not stopped totally using it)
Awesome video - must have been quite an experience when the bear was so close behind the hide!

@@BaaPhoto May be a Beginner in Video world, but your Photography is something to look for... Good to connect... Subscription for you too ...
Thank you, that was really kind of you to say =) It warms
Veldig bra å se hvordan den er satt i sammen. Har lenge lurt på en sånn , men aldri kommet så langt. :)
Tusen takk Arnfinn, er veldig fornøyd og anbefaler en slik på det varmeste =)
some great tips and a nice review. do you find you have to increase your shutter speed more than is necessary for land photography because of the movement of the float?
Thank you for the first comment on this channel =) Yes I find that when there are small waves, I need to add more shutter speed. I have found that it helps when I rest my elbows on the tube and press it down into the water. That reduce the amount and speed of the movement up and down with the waves :)
