Hi! My name is Alaina James. For my GS Gold Award Project, I designed and built a 5' x 12' Sensory Wall to transform the sensory room at a school for students who are intellectually curious or on the autism spectrum. In addition, I produced a DIY Sensory Board series here on the Sensory Explorations channel so families all across the world can create their very own sensory board and help their child overcome his/her sensory needs. Despite the many challenges 2020 presented, I managed to persevere, adapt and overcome many obstacles to produce an incredible resource that will have a lasting impact for years to come.
