I know this is old, but I'm having a hard time removing the carbon surround. Did you just use a drill step bit to remove the bolts that hold down the carbon?
@@hainesss Mine were riveted so I just drilled them out. Step drill will do the job.
I bought a 2 months old i4 M50 and the guy that had it before me had change the OEM steering for the alcantara one. Problem is that auto pilot is disabled and the heating is disabled because of that. So stupid if you ask me to pay extra for disabling two very important functions just to have the red ribbon on top.. Anyways. I asked for a quote at the shop to change it and they asked for 2000 Euros.... i am flabergasted.

I joined a facebook group and there is a guy in Thailand who sells the hard to get parts. Other than that Ebay and Google searches.....
My first road bike was a 1983 MTX 125. Great little bike although Swindon to Manchester was perhaps a little ambitious! A101 SFB.
I was looking it today in b&q I think the cheaper version will do for me for 99£

No it’s still going strong 💪🏻 thats the pressure washer I used in the video. It’s just the karcher attachment.

I’ve had mine for about a year, I wash and detail my M440i regularly, and they still look good…but then again I don’t live in a cold, wet and salty environment…

I would never buy Ali express exhaust tips in the first place. If you did buy from that site you deserve your poor decision 😂
@@BeamerTime354 Yes in hindsight you are right, as they have know gone in the bin and the stock ones are back on. The only problem is know-one does them apart from Ali Express if you want the Quad look so that was the only option.

At the end you say you have issues when your try to pull whole back in and it's stiff. That's because you need to pull the handle out.
Hey man do you have pictures of your car with the quad exhaust tips on. I am debating whether to replace it since the OEM looks good enough already. cheers
@@JJSM-cz7sm sorry I took them off as they started to look bad after a couple more months so I put the stock ones back on. They look really good but finding OEM quality is the problem.

Quick update, I tried it out on the camper van, and after around an hour of blasting I went through 2 bags of sand and it did clog up once so I had to blast water down the nozzle to clear it. I also tried it with Sealey 80 grit aluminium oxide, which wasn't quite as aggressive as the sand so always do a test piece first 👍🏻
Be careful what you wet blast as sheet of tin and iron it will warp and destroy the panels.

Does your assisted steering functions work? Heat?
Yes but you need to get the M steering wheel with the same functions as your original steering wheel. There are different versions one with assist and one without. Mine doesn't have assist so I got that one. I think all of the M steering wheels have heat on. If your original steering wheel isn't heated it will not work unless you code it in.
This is my question the M bottoms function, even if the car is not a real M ??
No they are just for show. You can remove them but I could not be bothered, or there is a module you can buy so they change the driving modes.

Hey, amazing video, very informative! I was just wondering, does a G22 steering wheel work/fit on a G26 m440i?
Yes it fits straight on as per the video but the M toggle buttons do not work so you can remove them or leave them on, as I think they look good. My car is a G26 M440i 👍🏻

I have a 2022 430i msport, are you saying I can just buy an m4 steering wheel & fit it? What model do you have ? And can I retro fit an m4 g82 shifter aswell ? Thank you for your help
Yes for the steering wheel but the M buttons will not do anything. Don’t think the shifter will work as it has different functions so may have a different plug but I could be wrong.

I had one mate inside 12 months every connection was leaking the hose is pore quality it kinks so easy and the more you use it the motor gets loader I gave it to my dad and bought a real pressure washer Ava p60
Yeah hate to say it but not a very good investment tbh. I have a Ava & it’s amazing! A little bit more expensive but worth every penny. Thanks for the video guy’s👏
