So being that the lower is the same as Gen 2 will the Gen 3 upper fit directly on the Gen 2 lower without an mods? If so will the upper be available for sale?

So the gen 1 and 2 retailed for about 1,500 now with the track record this rifle has it’s starting at 1,800 now. Same with the Bcl Siberian the new one has gone up in price. I feel like firearm ownership in Canada is becoming more and more for the rich like why is a wk180 by all accounts a POS 2k?

what is the level of backwards compatability (for the gen 3 piston specifically), can a gen 2 be upgraded? could a gen 1 be upgraded?

Glad they changed the handguard screws. I have a K9 and they start to back themselves out fairly easily, glad I won't need loctite with this rifle. Also, stoked to see that they will be releasing them with AR stocks. The Zhukov is a good stock, but too many Canadian rifles have it lol.

This is crazy so many new releases this year. I honestly started to think Canadian manufacturers just don’t care.

Can we add these improvements to the gen 2?

People are getting tired real fast of buying expensive rifles that should have had the kinks worked out before releasing them. Its not your customers job to figure out all the different areas that need to be changed. This is starting to get like buying a car, never buy the first model year. If you want a good reputation, earn it.

Nice to see Kodiak is going with a more fault tolerant, multi-piece piston system. Can the system be purchased separately for older Gen 1 and Gen 2 Wks?

I’ve done a few upgrades to my Gen 2 True North arms has some great products for them, I am more than happy with my Gen 2 Close to 2000 rounds and zero issues, I did put in a brass bushing for the piston at around 300 rounds before any breakage, adjustable gas block and few Other things Was there any mention of the bushing in the upper ? Glad to see they’ve changed and added those things on the gen 3 though It seems like they’ve listened to user feedback or have been paying attention anyhow
