We're running the Ship of Harkinian port on the Wii U (also available for PC and Switch), with FPS set to 60, free camera turned on and mapped to the right analog stick, and a linear filter setting.

We can't wait either. So close we can almost taste it. Tastes like almonds.

May I ask, what are you playing on? PC, Switch or Wii U? I don't believe that adapter works at all on the Wii U, on the Switch there may be an extra setting you have to enable on the Switch itself. If it is the Switch, does it work for other games?

@@brothersfivegaming9729 oh I actually got it working. Im on the pc version. I found this program called x360ce and it emulates any controller as an xbox 360 controller

For the most part the text has ran pretty smoothly, and the lag has usually been minimal rendering at 66% (not sure the Wii U would handle 90% as well as the Switch, 66% was the suggested rate on forums)... However, the word is the new 4.0 Zhora version has decreased the lag, and improved the situation with the text boxes as well. Just upgraded and haven't had a playthrough with it yet.

Glad it was helpful, we'll be updating to 4.0 for our playthrough as well, potentially trying out the randomizer in the future.

It is hard to believe but the wizards at Ship of Harkinian made it happen. And it's awesome.

We did figure out that big chest, honestly it's amazing we seemed to have forgotten about everything in this dungeon while playing as adults. Other than the dead hand is one creepy boss.

How long did you wait at the black screen? I've heard it can take up to 5 minutes. If you look in the soh folder with the two files, are there now two additional files? You should see imgui.ini and shipofharkinian.json as well, if the process to boot the game completed successfully. Once it has created those two files it won't hang on a black screen for very long anymore.

I'm not completely sure but you could try right clicking and choosing "Run as administrator" - sometimes CMD prompts are locked by your Windows system settings unless you do it this way. Also, did you download and extract the folder yourself?

@@brothersfivegaming9729 Yes. I did it, I ran it as administrator and still the same.

Does your unzipped archive contain the assets folder? And what is the file size of that folder? Also did you download the archive from the link on GBAtemp or from the discord? It shouldn't matter which one but just wondering. You could also try redownloading and unzipping the archive again in case something was corrupted while downloading it.

I just downloaded, extracted, and opened on a Windows 10 laptop and it did run... Do you have a different PC you could try it on? I know that's not the best option to offer but if redownloading and extracting the archive again doesn't help it could be something in your Windows system blocking it from opening. You could also try going to Virus & Threat Protection and turning it off in case that is blocking it, and then turning it back on after. But I don't like to suggest that option. There is no virus in it, of course, but because Windows doesn't recognize the publisher of the program that is one potential thing that could be blocking it.

This playthrough is all on WIi U, if it is a platform that you are interested in playing it on we have posted a tutorial video on our channel to get it up and running (due for an updated vid at this point, however). If not, we strongly suggest playing the same version on PC, for maximum FPS that will hopefully not melt your GPU!

@@brothersfivegaming9729 dude wiiu ocarina of time is wiiuvc and the eshop is no longer supported plus the wiiuvc version runs at 25 fps

We are actually not playing this on the Virtual Console, this is a port from Ship of Harkinian. It is a version of the original N64 game with a multitude of enhancements added. We've posted new videos on how to create the port files to get this on your Wii U, and many of the changes that you can access in the port's menu (Your Wii U must be modded first to run custom firmware of either Haxchi or Tiramisu).

Navi is a medical doctor and speaks 7 different languages. The only problem is 6 of them are from the star wars universe so they're not that useful when dealing with patients.
