Um, _why TF_ isn't THIS field of medicine spreading around like wildfire? I'd never heard of it before today & I'm so old, too. All we ever heard about is this BS chiropractic nonsense. Is it because of the cost? Well, if that's the case, why not pay a little more for something that is _scientifically proven_ to actually work &/or help? You know, instead of multiple visits to have the equivariant of cracking one's knuckles, all over your body. It's a farce created _by_ scammers to take your money. Plus, it can do BAD permanent damage... it has _killed_ some people, FFS! What is going on in this world? Ohhhhh, the scammers... sorry _chiropractors_ sham allows them to pay for all their ads & promotions. You know they've gotta get that bag... gotta own them a yacht... . I fell at home, in 1992. I developed compartment syndrome of my left leg.. I almost lost my leg. Had a fasciotomy, it's been a long road. But if it wasn't for the wonderful physiatrist who saw me I would have lost my leg. I now live with severe RSD, have had 5 more surgeries, but grateful I am here. .THANK YOU for making this available for the next generation! Hopefully they. Will not be called crazy, or asked why are you doing this to yourself.if. making feel like I'm the one a fault. Keep posting this wonderful information

Completely incorrect,they dont do any physical therapy themselves but may refer to one.They dont offer hands on treatment.

Lol no. Its a mix between neuro, ortho and anestesiology. Its actually very good specialty

yes..one can do physical medicine and rehab ..only after completing m.b.b.s ..they are doctors

Not true at all. Physiatrist are present in more than 70 countries all over the world.
Physiatrists are MDs or DOs - very small subspecialists
chipette yes. And a really useless branch of medicine. Rehab socialised Drs Physios, OTs Registered nurses can do this work well. Only in America would there be such a useless medical degree. Just like Doctors who get a degree from Osteos. The rest of the world does not acknowledge these qualifications.
