Do all Wii's use 12V? My Wii model number is RVL-001(EUR)
Yes they all should. Just to check, look at the sticker on the bottom to be sure. Thanks for watching! Edit* if you use your console laying down the sticker will be on the right side, there is a big one and a little one. The power requirements are on the big sticker.

I bought the Wii USB-C PD Cable on Aliexpress and you can use it directly on the power port connected to a Ugreen GaN cube. No need to destroy my OEM shell.
The one by Bitfunx? I'm using one of theirs as well, but the Wii U version

Yeah but this one you power the Wii with USB c whereas the USB c to PD cable requires you to have a "brick" that accepts USB c
@@MrScrubby55 I don't think you understand... you can use many USB C PD wall chargers that output 12V and cost as little as $5. The USB C PD cable costs $4. Much better no-cut solution
What usb c charger did you use? I’m having trouble finding one that explicitly states that it supports 12 volt output.
My brother has a laptop charger that uses USB c charging and it's powerful enough so I'd just look up laptop type C charger

I'd say it was pretty easy It's just a USB-C PD trigger board that can request 12V from a capable charger and the power is just connected to the already existing power input pads on the power connector
The wii runs on 12 volts. The power port goes all the way through the motherboard, I just soldered to the bottom of the board.
So you didn't have to solder separate 3.3v anywhere? All just one cut and dry set of 12v contacts? Follow up question, what amperage did it need?@@ShuffleHands220

By the way it is not necessary to buy a FMCB memory card anymore you can make your own one for free thanks to FreeDVDBoot all you need is a blank DVD and a PC with optical drive
yeqh im aware, pcs with DVD drives are getting more and more scarce, just the method i used
