Crowdfund soundlab Pacheco
Who can make use of the Soundlab-studio? Sound artist Vica Pacheco (MX) is a good example. In recent months she has been working at the EKWC on a series of ceramic musical instruments that produce a mysterious whistling sound by moving them. The ingeniously constructed objects produce sound by tilting the objects filled with water.
Donations small and large are equally welcome. You can choose from unique rewards like an official EKWC canvas tote bag, beautiful handmade ceramic bowls, a musical tile, or a sound artwork by Daniel Maalman (NL). SO COOL!!!
amazing intro, tysm
I'm pondering a project that will utilize 3D printed molds for ceramics. A friend of mine does ceramics. Your video gave me some ideas. Thank you! I too own an MK3s. I've had it now for almost 4 years. One of my favorite tools for creating my things. Have a good day!
if you're warping that much you probably should look at the temperature difference between the print and your ambient room, looks like you're in a barn somewhere, drafts are horrible for prints as one side cools faster than the other. Like others have said, definitely look into getting or making an enclosure just to keep your print a very homogeneous temperature throughout. Curious how well they worked as actual molds, I'm assuming you have another video on that so I'm gonna go look on your channel
Hi, I'm trying to find the masterclass on your site but not seeing it. Can you please help with a link? Thank you
Try turning off or reducing the part cooling fan or building an enclosure around your printer. It shouldn't do that
Thanks a lot 🙏
Cheers!
What is the material you are printing the molds. Thanks a lot
Hi srueven, we use PLA for the mother molds.
this is awesome, where can we find/buy the stl files?
Hi Leah, these are just examples. You can draw and print your own designs in a 3D program. If you want to learn more about the process of 3D printing for mother molds you can also consider the 11-part course we offer in our webstore. See here for more info: sundaymorning.ekwc.nl/product/online-masterclass-3d/?lang=en
I wish to see the machine printing... not you speaking all the video....
then youtube search "3d print timelapse" for that, this video is clearly for people interested in making 3d printed molds for ceramics :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) idiota
I also use a Prusa MK2 to print PLA master molds for plaster molds, and experienced warped surfaces. I found that slight breezes (air conditioners) and temperature changes during printing were causing distortion on my surfaces. I built a good enclosure for my printer, and my troubles went away.........
Great you found a solution!
