Hey Mark - they are genuine Toyota sidesteps which we got from Facebook market place. There were heaps on there. Its hard to put anything else on the 75 series because the exhaust is in the way

I think you'll find I haven't spent that much. 7k for the car. Its budget friendly. I do understand what you mean though.

Hey - the antenna connects directly to the Uniden box so no need for it to earth on the bar.

@JRCadventures are you sure about that? You possibly just cut your TX/RX ability by 3/4 of the distance and create a ton of static. I'm not trying to be rude, just concerned, and want you to have the best experience.

Ah I actually had this same trouble too. Around my area (Brisbane) there was only one Bunnings who actually had it. What can you fit in yours?

@@JRCadventures just got some structural ply 12 and 17mm today from local hardware store. Starting cutting this arvo.

Some people are building with 3/4” which is 19mm. Too much weight I reckon
