The N section is honestly one of the best analysis of the character I've heard so far.

I find it interesting that some people think Doll's death was pointless. It was a "Show don't tell" representation of the result of their actions. Uzi and Doll are very similar, except Uzi is a bit deeper in the Solver's insanity, YET Uzi has N and V to pull her back. Uzi has N and V, while Doll is going in it alone. Doll dying alone and forcing herself to find Uzi, in my opinion is Doll saying "I know I screwed up but only you can finish this."

Based on the episode 8 description it’s probably gonna be like 5-7 minutes of random stuff that happened after like the credits images if you know what I mean Also random little fun fact the red-eyed sentinel is named sparky if you didn’t already know

i've seen another comment being mean about this person's voice. their voice is a bit slow for my preferences, but i'm here to remind you that the 1.5x button and 1.25x button exist. if you feel like the video is too slow i found that the faster speeds were a lot easier for me to understand (i struggle to listen to slow voices) <3

I really love Doll’s story arc and I wish the show gave her a better ending. You really hit the nail on the head with the isolation aspect of her character. She lost her parents which I’m assuming when she was a child I mean she’s a teenager in the present time so she’s still fairly young. That means that her parents were her biggest advocates and the ones who were there for her the most. But once they were gone she was completely alone. She felt like she was all alone and thus like she had to become her own biggest advocate and problem solver. No pun intended. And while I wish that she got a better ending because of how much I love and sympathize with her character, it is an interesting parallel to see how the help from others like N and V that Uzi gains ultimately helps Uzi reach her ultimate goals. Doll on the other hand shows the consequences of never asking for help even when you need it the most. It’s really tragic for Doll’s arc to end this way but I suppose it does also serve as an important lesson about asking for help. Rest In Peace Doll 🥲❤️💜

Uzi also has trauma with abandonment. in episode 4, when uzi and N were falling, she asked him if he was going to leave her. he was the first ever person she had a rlly close connection to, and V saying that N has made with rocks, it most likely made uzi feel like she was going to be alone once again. Also in episode 2, when Lizzy made fun of Doll’s parents being dead, it probably made doll wanting to kill V even more

Personally don't think Uzi's personality is a persona, I think her wanting to kill all humans was how she coped, and her aggressive personality was the thing that turned people away from her, causing her to become an outcast and for mental state to get worse, which caused her to hyper fixate on killing humans even more. Until she met N and he decided to take the time to see all the sides to her, and while she still edgy and angsty, she is still a good person who just wants to figure out what's happening to her and what happened with her mom. Plus considering everyone bullied her and her dad neglected her for years, she got stuff to be angsty about.

I'd be extremely surprised if this happens, but that would be pretty cool, and I'd love that to happen.

A++ video, i super agree that trauma and how we heal from it is one of if not THE main theme of MD. Your final words about V made my heart ache 🥲 Another character who’s a fantastic example of this is Khan: The man had to mercy-kill his beloved wife, and if the one joke poster was based in truth, then it wasn’t a clean kill either, he had to _beat her to death._ The doors, while also probably a silly goof because him being obsessed with doors is funny, are a coping mechanism and likely a metaphor for how _intensely_ he isolated himself afterwards. It’s easier to shut everyone and everything out than to try and process what happened and what he had to do, even if that included his daughter. But N almost killing Uzi and her (very justified!) reaction to him leaving her is a wake-up call for him. He attends the parent teacher conference, he stands up for her when the teacher calls her damaged, he asserts that Uzi is more important than a door, he picks up a manual to try and be a better dad, talks to her about her mom, tries to help her get along/socialize with other kids (arranging to have her go to the prom with Lizzy and Doll), tries to save her when she gets hurt in ep 3. Then he takes an active roll in trying to save the world instead of hiding behind a door, as well as bringing along Uzi’s railgun blueprints (which means he believes in her!) He’s actively working to rebuild his relationship with Uzi and become a better person for her, and I think it’s working! In ep7 he mentions “cannibalism” in relation to her which implies he knows about what happened in episode 4; meaning Uzi would have felt safe enough to talk to him about what happened. He and Uzi make me so very sad- they very clearly love each other but don’t know how to do that. Sorry about the essay lol, I relate to them a lot. Crowdfunding to get these robots some goddamn therapy, please Mr. Vickers for the love of God.

“N sanity” is a good comic to show what trauma can do to a person

It's great to see people doing character analysise on this show. Something I will say about Cyn though (that has probably already been said multiple times). Cyn woke up at the bottom of what would be a mound of corpses to her. We can also see that when she starts booting up, there is text showing an entity (the Solver of course) speaking to her. The Solver initially presents itself as friendly, even using a silly lil emoticon :> to seem more trustworthy, before making the offer of helping her out of the situation she was stuck in, all she needed to do was give access to her system. It even makes a promise saying "I will not discard you", unlike her previous owners who just threw her out. Cyn of course, took this offer (and honestly, who can fault her for that?), and got to live with the Elliotts. She ended up bonding with N to the point of calling him big brother, and she seems to have cared about V, J and Tessa as well. Tessa's parents however, were clearly cruel towards them and Cyn probably started to build up hatred towards these people who would toss them away without a second thought. This would left an opening for the Solver to take advantage of her mental state and manipulate her, probably feeding into her creepier tendencies. Eventually Cyn built up enough resentment for the Solver to be able to manipulate her into slaughtering the gala. She told Tessa to stay out of her way and made the same promise to not discard that the Solver made. Of course, Tessa disobeyed and got killed as a result, Cyn then taking her skin for herself. You said that Cyn used Tessa's skin to masquerade as her, but honestly, I don't think it was that (that suit is NOT fooling anyone, it looks horrific). Rather, I think it was Cyn's twisted way of keeping her promise to Tessa. At this point, the Solver has probably corrupted her to the point that she's little more than a puppet. The few things she has done that still feel like her original self is preserving N, V and J's personalities and keeping Tessa's skin. Cyn is a monster, but it wasn't entirely her fault that she is the way that she is. I don't think she's outright possessed by the Solver, but I do think that most of her original self is lost to Solver corruption. Well that was a long comment... hopefully the text wall isn't too bad to read.

I think this is pretty solid. I agree with a lot of the points made. I feel like you missed out on Khan though. He lost his wife, then growing an obsession with doors, because it's what she wanted him to do. When he left Uzi to die, he was (Probably) having some PTSD flash back to Nori. Considering how Uzi and Nori look the same (and especially if N "killed" Nori) Khan was stuck, terrified and traumatized. Also this may age poorly, but J as well. This more ties in to a prediction for episode 8 but I feel like J will be notified that "Tessa" wasn't Tessa at all. Meaning the only one that J cared for, Tessa, was not only dead, but being paraded around by the same force that killed her will make her snap.

Cyn her self also need therapy- in episode 5 when we first sees cyn she cant move or anything,(As cartoon theory said "/the Messages would\ say that Cyns worker OS is not properly operating but that the absolute solver can do something about this but... only if Cyn grants are access, after which- a simple yes or no option /appears\. Cyn seems to had a partial reboot then where she is conscious and could essentially muster the strength to click yes or no but elsewise was stuck in what we'd think of as a vegetative state, sin thus was able to click yes and thinking the absolute solver would help her but then would end up being only a semiconscious backseat passenger in her own body... ...never being given the opportunity to directly influence things ever again" (Only watching things unfold from inside her own body) if someone would have to watch themselves: kill all of humanity- fellow worker drones, kill and rebuild all her friends, and then also watch as she wheres Tessa's skin... its just traumatizing... i feel like out of everyone Cyn. needs the most theory in the show out of everyone...
