NovaCropControl is a research and test centre specialized in plant sap analysis, located in the Netherlands.
A plant sap analysis provides insight in the actual uptake of nutrients by the plant. This reveals important information about the plant‘s health status. An optimal and balanced uptake of nutrients has a positive effect on the plant‘s natural disease resistance and on the quality, firmness and shelf life of fruits.

What is the recommended fertigation recipe
Hi Khaled, There is no clear answer on this. This depends on many different factors. Such as time of the season, weather, drip EC, levels of nutrition in the plant, growth of the plant, plant stage etc. So it is not possible to give a standard fertilization recipe without knowing more about the situation of the crop.

Thanks a lot! This is very instructive. Aside from completing the deficiency trials using the other trace elements (Fe, Cu, Si, etc.) I wish you could also conduct another trial, but this time with excessive applications of an element.
Hi Philippine, Yes this could also be an option. But for now we focus just on the deficiency symtpoms in different crops. Other elements might also be tested but in this trial we have just room to test a certain amount of elements. But with new trials other elements might be tested. Keep in touch with our socials to see new type of trials we are doing.
Why you did not fertilize the beef tomatoes according to the sap analysis?
The samples were only taken of the smaller variety, those values showed good numbers so the crop shows. There were no samples taken of the bigger variety because those cultivations had the same circumstances, later they found out they had to take samples from both varieties because they apparatently have different needs.
