Microaggressions are just people having butthurt

What party has total control of government?

But isn't the use of the term "America" to refer to the "United States of America" a microaggression too? It invalidates the experience of most of the other people who live in other countries in "the Americas", who actually call the landmass "América", and who mostly descend from people who were originally in North and South America before the arrival of the Europeans. "American" to refer exclusively to someone from the U.S. seems like an invalidation too, as the word has other meanings in English which are often dismissed. If these other people are not "American" then why does the "Organization of American States" which has members like Mexico, the U.S, and Argentina, exist in Washington D.C.? If there's no such thing as "America" to refer to the entire landmass in English, and North America and South America should be used instead, then what does "America" in "United States of America" really mean? The word "American" at this point seems to me like an "officialized microaggression", because when racism is too big it becomes part of the structure of our society and stops being visible. People will tell me I'm not American even though I descend from "native Americans" (which require the word "native" in their names as the other concept is taken), and was born and hold a nationality of a country in the Americas.
