This seems like you could do this kind of trashing to any car ever made. Yes, it’s complex and there are a few software issues. All easily looked after. Try Aston Martin. I have a 250 k Vanquish that won’t shift into gear. The dealer had it 4 months, gave it back with ac4000 dollar invoice and said they can’t fix it, parts are on permanent back order. That’s after previously spending 26,000 rebuilding the transmission that now won’t shift. It went in originally because it slipped out of 2nd every now and then on corners. I love my Lyric. Considering how ground breaking it is they have done a great job and these quirks will all be fixed. I have had Ferraris, Lotus, Bentley and dozens of others and my new Lyric and our old Volt are still my favourites.

It's so ugly and cheap looking, I mean ghetto styling, that it defeats the purpose entirely. That cheap plastic grille cover is so tacky and the lighting seems like it was designed to impress 8th graders. No mature, professional adult should look at that and think, "classy." You know, like Caddy used to be. I've seen two of em so far, and the body panels don't flush smoothly. In both units, the paint was so cheap that the black one already had gloss decay and it still had paper tags! I mean, just cheap looking. The only reason to buy one is because a person has low self-esteem and needs to be looked at for their purchase instead of their accomplishments. Unfortunately, people DO look at the Lyriq, but they laugh instead of thinking it's cool or classy. I'm hoping you got a discount or a free one in exchange for making videos, because the alternative is sad.

Excellent. A friend of mine just got the Tech trim even though the Luxury was what he really wanted. The lease deal (Southern California) was just too good to pass up. And he still loves the car.

wow almost the same conclusion as us. We tried the lyriq and tesla way too many times, we decided to go with the lyriq lux 2 and not the tech trim as it was too basic. The model y wins over the tech lyriq hands down but the lux2 is just more refined. One thing you missed was the passenger side seating between the tech and lux which is a big deal for people with bad backs. This is why we didn't go with Tesla

I agree, I love my wife's level 2. I do regret getting the tech version after owning it for a little bit. We just took a long road trip to Miami, about 2000 miles round trip. Super Cruise would have been nice. But overall like the car.

  • @MrProy33

If I was still in high school, I'd be like, "Wow." Now that I am an adult with real world priorities, it's just a thirsty attention getter for low self-esteem. If you really want to be noticed, become a professional in your field who is recognized for his accomplishments rather than being a poser who craves atrention for his purchases.

When comparing my Lyric to previous cars I’ve owned such as Porsche Audi and Lincoln Continental, I must call it my so so car. So quiet. So smooth. So powerful. So smart. And so relaxing when using super cruise. I’ve had it for over 13,000 miles and experienced none of the issues described in this Video or other comments. I can’t wait to drive it every day. It’s simply a fantastic car.

As a computer scientist with decades of software engineering in integrations of API designs and deployment and an owner of 2024 Lyriq, GM SUCKS AT SOFTWARE INTEGRATION! I have the 2024 Lyriq now with about 4,000 miles. My door latches randomly open - sometimes they pop out when I get close with my fob and sometimes they stay STUCK. I have a minimum of 11 defects & ALL DOCUMENTED, including some of your defects. I wrote to the GM general counsel two months ago, my state attorney, the LOUSY Sports Cadillac dealer, etc., and the state attorney is investigating. My driver-side panel plastic clip broke; therefore, my driver-side panel is loose. My headrest adjuster broke off and is still off. I'm letting my Maryland state attorney help me per Maryland state law. GM general counsel, the board, the CEO, etc., got my certified letter, and NONE have written back to me!! I'm grateful I got the extended warranty and KNEW, more or less, for what I bought from a Toyota (my last new car brand) to an American GM. My first American car was about 30 years ago, and this Cadillac will most likely be my last American car. #GM #GMdefect.

Thanks for the honest review. I have liked and subscribed. You never mention the Luxury or Sport Level 1. I drove a level 1 Sport. By far best EV I have driven. No comparison with the model Y. The Model Y has that plain interior, very rough ride, and no buttons for convenience. The GV70 EV was the closest to the Lyric but the Lyriq is even a better ride and better value. I'm going to look up the difference between Lyriq Level 1 & 2 but will probably end up with a Hyundai Ionic 5 as the Lyric is beyond my budget.

We bought an Ionic 6 a few weeks ago. I posted a video about it. I really like it also. I just like the Lyriq ride better, but Hyundai makes a great car, and there are many things I like better about it. I really like Hyundai safety suit, like blind spot and their lane keep, better than the Lyriq

Just took possession of a Lyriq Sport 3. I also own a Mach E. Despite both being mid sized SUVs they are very different cars. The Cadillac has a much more refined ride and luxurious interior, the Ford is much sportier in it's handling and doesn't feel so heavy. One the whole the Ford has a better UI on the software. The STUPIDEST thing on the Cadillac is the inability to turn off the fake engine noise like you can on the Ford.

My Mother has the Red Passion Tricoat XT5 and I'm sure she'd love to have a Radiant Red Lyriq. She loves my Lyriq. Argent Silver, 22's, Sky Cool Grey interior, SPORT 3 with 19KW charger and Power Moonroof. The issue, however, is that I doubt she has the patience for public charging and she'd need the NEMA 14-50 port added onto her house for home charging. She's retired and doesn't drive many miles per week but as an older woman, I'm sure she's more comfortable with gas. The XT5 and XT6 use regular unleaded and fully loaded COST LESS than my Lyriq by far. Hard to sell Lyriqs here lately.
