Need some 67 fairlane videos? Would to how's the build going?
There will be a big video coming out in the next couple weeks on it. I have a few videos filmed but haven’t had the chance to get them edited and released yet. Build is coming along though!
Looking good so far ; ) you almost got me with stripping . I want that color & wish my original is artic ice blue looked that G . Did have to patch passenger side & around rear window..
I have a 66 fairlane 500 trying to restore, did you find the problem ? Mine is a cruis o madic lol . I hope you got it running will watch ,later's
Looks exactly like my very first car. I miss it.😍
I too have a 1960 Thunderbird 352 in “Palm Springs Rose” or in other words ‘Baby (light) Pink’. It’s good to know you want it back to its original color. The three basic food groups of paint schemes of cars today are white, grey /silver, black = I just want to fit in. Now look, you kept saying “it’s not perfect”…uh? So!? That’s all apart of it. Otherwise you got to worry about her if she’s perfect, and you’ll be telling people, I’m afraid to drive her, by that time, it’s tooo late, a sad state of affairs. The betterment is, the ‘preserve project’ rather than a full tear down, subject to life happening along the way and a potential abort, loss, & sell, not to mention memories lost. I met a couple who did just that to their Thunderbird and life passed them by to old age.
I always tell people I’d rather have 5 cars I can drive than 1 that is perfect. I just want to make it nicer than what 19 year old me could do. I still believe cars are meant to be driven and that’s certainly what will still happen when the car is redone.

BEATIFUL VIDIO TRUCK CHEVROLET APACHE THE POWER AMERICAN 💪🇺🇸 SALUDOS CARROS MJ RUclips 🇨🇷🖐️
Have you ever accidentally grabbed the wrong Dr. Pepper bottle? I love the patina look!
Hermosa camioneta !!!!!
I just finished a 1959 Apache. However, I painted mine, and did the retro mod route.
caught my eye Ive got a 58 short fleetside mine had that green color I belive but its been a blue color for the 50 years Ive owned her! mine hasent run in 14 years I think
69 did come with a m code 351 and 4 spd i have 2 of these cars
1967 Mercury Cougar GTs had power front disc brakes and this video showed a front drum.
That is correct, the hope at the start of the finding the car was that we would have the S code engine and transmission to turn it into an s code GT. However once we found it was the 289 and C4 the plan changed to still keep it a numbers matching a code.
To be fair, at the time they did that shoddy repair work the Bronco was probably worth about $500 and was nowhere near classic status, and it did last a good while.
😲 DAMN that is nice! If I ever break the mirror in my bathroom, I could use the side of that SCOUT as a MIRROR to shave (Owners permission of course).
I love this series. And he said the same thing that most either don't know, or forgot. (1) When doing a TUNE UP: Most V-8' are TIMED AT #1 CYLINDER, But I-H had to be different, Because all I-H V-8' You TIME IT ON #8 CYLINDER, (2) Also I-H was notorious for having "SODIUM FILLED VALVES", (3) The smallest V-8 I've ever seen was the I-H 266 c.i V-8 if my memory serves me correct, (4) In case you cant find an I-H V-8 ENGINE, Go to a SALVAGE YARD and find you a JEEP V-8, it is a direct bolt in but with only one difference: "THE CARBERATER DESIGN" I-H used a HOLLEY, JEEP used a CARTER DESIGN.
As a 43 year exp MECHANIC I can vouch for every letter he said at "8:40". Only I said it in a different way: "I YOU COULD BE THERE TO WITNESS WHAT WE GO THROUGH TO MAKE YOUR CAR/TRUCK NEW OR BETTER THAN NEW, YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND WHY YOU DON'T SEE MANY MECHANICS IN CHURCH ON SUNDAY."
Is my eyes playing tricks on me, or am I the only one seeing the guy in shorts wearing: "SANDLES IN A REPAIR SHOP?" I've worked AUTO REPAIR, nearly all my days, and have had MECHANIC JOBS ADVISING "STEEL TOED WORK BOOTS BE WORN WHILE ON DUTY AT ALL TIMES."
Whoever worked on the rear suspension last is what I call a "HIRED KILLER!" Because as you said: "HE'S LUCKY HE DIDN'T HAVE THE WHOLE BACK END COME APART ON HIM!" THANK YOU FOR HONESTY, WHICH IS A RARE THING ANYMORE AMONGST US MECHANICS.
Poor thing sure is beat up but at least it isnt that rusty.

Awesome we have a 1972 Buick GS one owner.. needs restoring.
Yes, please do some more Cushman videos. Might want to get a "Mustie lift" if you ever seen him you'll know what I mean (youtuber Mustie1). Your body will thank you. Take it from me, 60+ years of beating on your body has an unwanted accumlative effect. Cool scooter, would be interesting to see further evolution of this unit.
More Cushmans !
sweet ride ,,,,,,,
That sound…..I had Sears mini bike and then helped build go carts with these Briggs & Stratton engines . Lawnmower power !
I'd like to see a few videos on the truckster and other cushmans you have. I have a 50cc japanese scooter; and I like riding it. Keep up the videos.
If you haven’t checked it out I uploaded a new video a couple days ago showing our Cushman collection. Would greatly appreciate the support!
In the early 50s, Sears Roebuck also sold a small car - called the Allstate I believed. It was just a "Henry J" (Kaiser) with Sears' Allstate badge on it. As I remember, the Henry J never really caught on, and neither did the Allstate. As I remember, the Crosley and the Nash Metro were a lot more common and there weren't thar many of those either. After the War, most folks would eagerly await the newest and "chromiest" of the new models each year. Big & fast with white sidewalls and a radio sold well. Gasoline was about 20 - 30 cents a gallon in the Chicago suburbs where I lived, and station attendants filled the tank, checked the oil, checked the radiator, washed the windshield, and gave a set of free cocktail glasses or whatever, and some S&H Green Stamp - all for about $ 4 worth of gas.
How much would a Harley Davidson golf be worth not running would you have any idea
Definitely more cushman truckster and eagles.
In 1954 a neighbor owned a red Cushman. He would take my brothers and me for a ride every so often. I was 9. Great memory.
Your video was cool but way to short hopefully next one will be longer
I plan on making the next ones longer. Just hard to film without time lapses when it’s mostly grinders running and the people helping not really wanting to be on camera. Plan to change it up next time.
a snow job.
If you put a big block in you will need bigger sway bar I have a 1969 cougar with a 428scj
You should tighten that headliner and do a repaint to the steering wheel.
All in the list of many things that will be done when it’s torn back down again
Yep, I love Cushman scooters.
I still have a Cushman scooter that I bought in 1964. It’s been in the garage all these years . Turn# over, and I’m planning on rebuilding it.
I had a cushman allstate about 1960 and had the most fun on it as a kid, maybe 12 or so, wish I could find another one without paying $5000 for one. Don't complain about working on it, I would give anything to have one and I'm 75.
Hello, How are you?? I am well. Hope you are well, recently I have looked to your channel. And saw that in your channel have many many problems, for this reason channel videos not getting much engagements. Not growing, If you can solve these problems, channel will grow, You want to know these main main problems??? I can tell if you want to know. here or in email!! Where????? fb, ig, twitter etc>> in which you feel comfortable??????? as soon know to me
Cushman was a product of Outboard Marine Corporation
I have rewired one of these 1960 Thunderbirds from bumper to bumper and done a lot of other restoration work on it. Its a rare factory 3 speed manual car (only 2% of production were manual transmission) Unless equipped with the optional 430 ci Lincoln engine, which was available in1959/60 (base engine is 352) they were not great from a performance standpoint and handled like a garbage scow if suspension upgrades are not performed. In 1963 130-140 Thunderbirds were factory equipped with a 390 with 3 two barrel Holley carburetors These were "M" code cars, and Ive had one come in for carburetor rebuilds and tuning. 1966 and 1967 models were available with an optional 428 ci engine and in 1968 the 429 became the standard (and only) engine available, and they finally would get out of their own way, having better performance than any previous Thunderbird with the possible exception of the very rare factory supercharged 1957 models which allegedly produced 340 HP in a much lighter vehicle
Ayyoo!!
Thanks for the Cushman video. I had a stepthrough when I was 12, now !m 77 and have a 49 stepthrough and 2 58 720 series. Just something about those scooters that make people happy! Hope you do more Cushman stuff.
Definitely more Cushman Trucksters and Eagles!! I had both!
Love it show more
I had a 1968 Impala super sport which I could literally get six people in the trunk and sneak them in the drive-in
As pretty as the square birds are, I have to say I've always coveted the bullet birds. That said, your White over Red is gorgeous, I'd be proud to take that into town as I'm sure you are. Enjoy!
❤
I have a 1980 Scout II you may be familiar with, my dad was the original owner, I have spent hundreds of hours in the back seat on family road trips, took my driving test in it, drove it in high school, and driving it almost every day now. I told you about my 1969 Camaro SS, its a numbers matching L35 396 BBC, 4 speed close ratio, 3.08 rear end cruiser. My dad was the original owner, he got it when he was 19 years old after his little brother wrecked his TR-3. We have taken many family vacations and easily a couple hundred hours of road trips in my wife's Honda Pilot but as far as I can tell the kids have zero attachment to that, so not sure what made these old cars so special. My son loves the Scout and Camaro but is not interested in learning how to work on them, so who knows what the future may hold for them.
Nick! Keep up the good work! It isn’t everyday that you see a young man appreciate things of the past. You are so knowledgeable and passionate about your must have classics! My buddy Greg Russell in Panhandle, TX loves what you do. He is old enough to be your father, but he loves his classics! He is restoring a Studebaker Truck right now! I have been sharingyour channel/videos with him! Impressive
