There are mobile homes, even some on the Payette lake
Wow, that’s a lot of houses. I predict a lot of out of state retirees heading there.
If you like uneducated white people, you will love Cascade. I know this because I am white and so is 99% of the area. It’s Mark Fuhrnan paradise.
It’s out of water to grow? Isn’t the town located near a reservoir? Can’t they use that water?
They need to add a new city well. Idaho owns all the water in Idaho and even the cities need water rights to distribute water.
Are there any gay clubs? How LGBT friendly is the community?
There are not. Our community is relatively small and not often engaged in conversations specifically about LGBTQ+ . With a low population and a seasonal influx of vacationers, we haven't had any public discussions on the topic that I know of. However, I haven't come across any reports or witnessed any incidents of hate crimes here. While this doesn't provide a complete picture, I believe that our community tends to be peaceful and welcoming.
These small towns are a reprieve from the woke nonsense and you know these small towns don't have gay clubs. Stay in the city troll.
The law enforcement and the courts of Idaho reek of corruption !!

It is, I toured the McCall City water department and that is an old pipe they had. I guess I never put much thought into what they used to look like.
That is so cool! I've heard they used to make pipes out of wood but I've never seen one before. Thanks for sharing. It's in great shape considering

There are 3 or 4 trailer parks in McCall . $250 to $450 a month. It's a hunting and fishing town.
HOA and/or CC&Rs is a no thank you.
I’ve worked with buyers before that say they don’t want HOA and CC&RS, but they end up purchasing with them because they like how clean and manicured it looked compared to land without. But I have also heard a lot of the HOA horror stories and I can understand why some people avoid them
Hope you have flood insurance if you buy the ones in cascade. Seen that area flooded more than once.

There is one diner in McCall. and the gas station "food mart". You can microwave a burrito .The is a Red Robin in Boise. though.
In Idaho .the land is free for squatters. Just go there and sit down and that land is yours. free.
McCall , Idaho is a lake , a gas station, a hotel, , and a coffee shop, Post office. I think there is a Lodge for hunters and boaters . . Land is very cheap. .There is a trailer park somewhere. if you want to live there.

It doesn’t take me more than 20-25 to get to McCall from my house in Donnelly, winter or summer.
Move to tahoe it's safer. Ask how the road getting there is 😂
It does have a dirt road and with more rain than snow this year and the heavy equipment going back and forth with all the building, I agree with your comment on this one the road was rough. 😉

We moved here from California and our vehicle was vandalized and our house broken into. Very unfriendly people and the area is filled with drugs and crime. Better to buy in tahoe.
It’s not a town full of well educated people who are professionals, just a bunch of rednecks and pension retirees. I know a California retired cop who lives there.
No public service in the winter. Most houses are vandalized when they are vacant. Much safer in tahoe.

Terrible place. Rampant drug use, house break-ins, and vehicle theft. Better off in tahoe.
Real estate prices are insane today compared to what they sold for ten years ago even when adjusted for inflation. Just sitting back with cash waiting for the real estate market collapse.
My home and car got broken into almost every night here. Drug use and homelessness is rampant.

Definitely still some affordable homes near Tamarack Ski resort. I think that will change as more convenient amenities are offered.
