Richard Chiang journeys into the depth of human nature to examine closely its multiple layers and complexity. He is mostly intrigued by the psychological impacts of technology and current affairs, and seeks to answer the question: What does it mean to uphold humanity in the modern sense? Some of the topics of his recent artwork include Human-AI interaction, making choices, a video gamer, and a girl looking beyond the circumstance she is in. Inspired by Impressionism, he focuses on using bold brush strokes and presenting a strong contrast between light and shadow to create a unique atmosphere.

Have the technological creations stemming from human intelligence been made to better serve our needs and improve the quality of our lives? I'd like to think our creativity and imaginations have no limit, and we are driven by them to bring new ideas and to invent something that we never knew we needed. For me, this motivation is what it means to be deeply human.
