About there being 200 sub 30 runners, i suspect your tutorials are partly to blame (thank?). They’re great at explaining the mechanics needed for celeste but also HOW to approach speedrunning in general- so you kinda knocked down both barriers to entry

Me: watching both the sub 60 and sub 50 guides and mixing strats in order to get the sub 60 😊. Also me: trying to watch these video to help me get sub 50☠💀

I can only wonder how much of this are actually planned by the developers. Both Demo Dash and options to add momentum seems as happy accidents the players discovered a way to use, but also has situations where it just works too perfectly.

It's criminal how few views these videos have relative to the main guide. These reference strat videos are my Celeste bible and I value this archive of Tiyo-approved strats so much. Even with (in my opinion) not enough people coming here from the main video, it is still remarkable how many people have probably benefited from this compilation, so thank you again Dave for putting this together for the community. It is just such an incredible resource, and we're lucky to have it. Sidenote, I wonder if the difference between the sub 40 guide and the (hopefully) soon-to-come sub 30 guide will be the emphasis on the strat vids vs general guidance from the main vid, especially given that a sub 30 is already achievable with the strats here. It might be beneficial to reiterate that these strat playlists are not so much supplementary to the main vid, but a necessary extension of it, and that, to truly achieve that sub 30, viewers will actually have to take the time to carefully study these strats and incorporate them as needed. I was definitely guilty of ignoring them initially out of laziness, and am now kicking myself for forming bad habits due to not buckling down and doing the hard work earlier on. Hey i just want to say thank you so much for putting up this guide, it really saves us a lot of research and practice by giving us this step by step. I started speedrunning the game around 10 days grinding individual levels according to this and the sub hour guide and just got my first sub 50. A very narrow 49:56 hahaha. I'm really pumped to grind to sub 40, thanks so much.

as a modded level player i feel like i should try get into speedrunning again

I use mouse and keyboard to move around in celeste lmao (side buttons, I have 3 of them, jump is space bar, wasd is my movement and the furthest side mouse button is climb, middle one is crouch dash and the closest one to me is dash if I'm correct)

Block bhop is my "taking it easy" strat because I did the cloud bad too many times, just sayin. 1f hypers aren't so bad, just hit it like you mean it ;) I'm back on the cloud after astro helped sort me out I think
