Dam good news for Cheshire's beaver family!
Loved the last sentence to the video haha.
Wonderful project. So many wins. Would be wonderful to see it implemented more widely across the countryside
Great work guys. What a legacy
thank you Richard ☺
Climate heroes ❤
So exciting. Great job team. Look forward to the updates
I'm absolutely delighted to hear the news 😀
Well done. Fantastic work
Wonderful!
Fantastic
Does the yellow neck mouse owe money to the camera man?
Never realised there was such a variety. Beautiful in their own way
Good little vid . Bit of constructive criticism here...each photo and sections with writing on disappeared too quickly..maybe slow the sections down with text info down 😊
love the yellow-necked mouse picture lol
house mouse
Yellow-Necked Mouse sounds like a good insult.
Beatrix potter mice are my favorite
Just not on the Klamath, all the anti dam nuts will want them dead.
Beavers are lazy ? Just wait ! Watching beavers in a wetland here in Canada, we've learned it takes many seasons for humans to understand how beavers transform landscape. Our park now has a series of dams on the main flow, as well as terraces in the flatter marshes. The main thing is they need space to carry out their engineering.
I dont feel like I learned anything
Các bé chuột de thương đáng yêu quá đi
Did the yellow neck owe the photographer money?
Cute small nice creatures ! i love them !
And what about dormice too!!
I was curious about this...turns out dormice aren't mice at all, but an arboreal rodent that looks like a mouse. They almost look like a cross between a hamster and a mouse that has a long, furry tail.
@@mayonnaiseeee Interesting. They seem to be a species on its own.
Will wood liked this video
OH MY LORD WILL WOOD FAN SPOTTED
Sounds like a southern insult lol "Why you yellow necked mouse, gituponouttahe!"
I like how their eyes manage to be bulging and beady at the same time. The house mouse is a menace, though they are cute. They're not nearly as gross as roaches, but they're more destructive and I would say harder to get rid of, in my experience anyways. You can just set off some bug bombs with roaches, but one apartment I lived in had such a bad mouse infestation I eventually just had to leave because the slum lord managing the place refused to do anything about it and the mice were getting into every nook and cranny they could, tracking urine and pellets everywhere and eating my food. I had to try to stuff every bit of food into the fridge, because anywhere else I put it, the mice would get to it. I kept food in my backpack and they chewed into it, not though the fabric like you would think but by actually chewing *through the zipper*! Those little bolt cutter teeth they have are powerful! I asked the landlord to patch the holes the mice made and they just had someone come put some goddamn particleboard partially covering the holes, not even blocking the way of the mice at all. They just tried to look like they were doing something by doing that and giving me sticky traps, but that really does nothing but pick off the occasional mouse dumb enough to wander onto them. I wish house mice were like the other mice, they really derailed my life and I don't like having to kill the little fellas. It's funny how genes can impart such distinct instincts to a species, determining whether they prefer to live in the fields and forests or inside of buildings.
I feel you. I too think all mice are adorable but cannot share my home with them. One year an entire family moved in. They even ended up in bed with my husband. For some reason I switched the lights on as I was going in and saw the droppings. In the end I had to use mouse traps and rat glue. It was awful killing those little creatures but the house smelled and I had a baby at the time. I did ask st. Frances for forgiveness.
Get some cats. I thought I just lived nice places all my life, but it turns out, my boyfriend has been cleaning up dead mice left from the cats for years and never said anything because that's what cats are supposed to do.
How can anybody use hideous glue traps??? I had mice in one apartment I lived in & caught them easily in humane traps. Likewise in houses with a lot of them. Never had any trouble getting rid of them, either by banging the walls or trapping them. People need to use their brains.
I like how the first 3 species are pictured in their natural habitat, but the yellow-necked mouse is being held hostage for crimes committed against life itself.
Lolol so cute
Mice fans unite
Beautiful video
They are so cute. Admittedly, I wouldn't like them as house guests, but they are after all like any other creature, trying to survive.
Stupid music!
When are the wolves coming back, and Bears our anseters killed
I last saw beavers in Canada 30 years ago. they had been nearly trapped out for hats in the early years of last century; now they slowly re-colonise. They are of course heavily protected. JOKE COMING UP.. I saw this circular sewn-on anorak patch saying "Save trees: kill a beaver!"
Gorgeous! Thank you. I’m from Southern California.
Beautiful
We have more beavers than we can ever imagine. After three years the kits are ready to move on. European Beavers build dams, like their Canadian counterparts. When they expand their range as the population grows, there will be more areas needed for their expansion. Have fun if there are escapees.
Thank you, I am going to build one. 🦔♥️
Let us know how you get on!
Yo- Cheshire, very amaznig trip-=)
This video of a curlew call is the best ! as I remember it in the southern uplands : ) - could be the worst visually tho : )
Educate the farming community.
Every little bit helps.
So cool to see the Beaver babies.
Your rewilding and conservation efforts are a waste of time. a rubber tire painted and planted? You’ve done nothing, this is useless. I’ve studied wildlife, conservation, ecology and this is a waste of time. Probably not non native bedding plants in them as well I bet from the garden centre. I’ve worked for CWT and they’re mostly clueless, the money raised goes elsewhere people
Wonderful, I hope one day they can be released more into the wild in the area and Delamere.
This is superb news. So made up that we have people helping our wildlife ❤
