    If Khatia had been around when this wonderful piece was composed, a writer, Anthony Trollope, say, could have written a whole book about her and this performance!

    I am a musician. I can play this waltz. Every time I hear it or play it - I can't help thinking that there is a supreme being - such combination of sounds is simply too divine for me. I liked Khatia's performance - the rhythm is just right for me. I listened to others - but their rhythm annoys me. They make strange stops, or they play slowly, or they play in a staccato style. Her performance is like a breath of fresh air, it is light, soft, romantic. And her face doesn't display strange emotions like Kissin's, or other pianists' do which annoys me especially in this stunning piece of art. Her face displays bliss and relaxation. Maybe the very last sound could be played just a bit more loudly. But I liked the performance especially with the view of beautiful Tbilisi.

      Each person is gonna interpret in their own way based on their feeling and on they view piece, a really experienced pianist like her can allowed herself to go faster if she feels it that way because it doesn't ruin the based of this piece. If you like it played slower that's fine, but some might like this version more

    • @philippstrahm2770
      @philippstrahm2770 Год назад

      @@zeyroxbs It's just not the way Chopin intended it to be played. Otherwise the indication regarding the speed would be completely superfluous. And Chopin wrote "tempo giusto" which is not what Khatia is playing. This is a Waltz and not a piece to show off your technique.
