I did as advised in your video. I checked the mode options and it was already in RGB mode. I have never suffered this problem before.

Thanks a lot. This problem was driving me nuts. I did fix it. I guess the whole color mode thing is something that is useful for photo manipulation but useless for digital art. I do digital art. I have no need to change color mode like this. If I wanted something in black and white, I would have selected all grays for my colors. Maybe grayscale would be useful for photomanipulation. It would be for very specific circumstances. There are photos and videos that are live action and in grayscale. Usually these are very old. That was before color photography was invented. There are cases where grayscale is used when there is access to color. So I guess Photoshop allows for that to happen. The one example that comes to my mind is Queen. Queen was an oldies rock band. It mainly existed during the 70s and 80s. Freddie Mercury is the band singer and frontman. He died in the early 90s due to AIDS. The last album he did was Innuendo. Two of the songs were "I'm Going Slightly Mad" and "These Are the Days of Our Lives". The music videos for them are highly unusual because they are in black and white. Since these are black and white videos from an oldies band, one can easily assume this was back before color. However these are not. They are relatively new, and there are plenty of older Queen music videos that are in color. At the time, Freddie was very sick. The writing was on the wall. He pushed forward and worked on as much music as he could before he ran out of time. One symptom Freddie had was skin problems. He is wear lots of makeup to hide the problem. He didn't want to look too nasty on camera. The two music videos were recorded in black and white because it hid the skin conditions even more. That is a weird situation for using grayscale. I guess that worked. Maybe there are other uses. It is very situational. RIP Freddie. May your show go on.
