Id imagine this to be a hard read for some fans I think deep down we all know what happened Marc and Gloria were very drunk though so both to blame really I miss him so much though even now I used to look forward to a new Album every year and usually an annual visit to Glasgow Apollo

“Looking forward to this” is not really the right term for this book but I reckon essential reading for those of us that still remember that feeling of loss all those years ago 🎸 thanks Barrie for taking the time to do this for us 👍

Seems like yesterday, where have all the years gone so glad we had Marc and T. REX in our life's, I'm 68 now and still listen my favourites were electric warrior and the slider, love to Marc's family ❤

As a teenager, I bought a book on Glam Rock in the early 1980s. The section on Marc Bolan fascinated me for reasons i cannot explain. I bought several of his albums. Then, in the the late 2010s, I returned back to them absolutely captivated by his genius. I became and remain his biggest fan in Georgia, USA. Despite his making the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame, I still feel he is profoundly underappreciated. Prior to Marc’s superstardom in late 1970, Elton John’s sound was more akin to country music, David Bowie was folk rock, Slade was struggling to find a commercial footing, Roxy Music was hadn’t released an album yet, and soon enough, their sound changed to their take on the Bolan-boogie. Marc was a legend. They built their success off of his.

I believe it was Danielz of T.Rextasy who said Bolan visited his dentist that morning and afterwards drank a bottle of wine. So he may well have been under the influence.

I loved these early days but really love the electric sounds better. Been a t.rex fan since 1970,still am. Keep a little marc in your heart. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Sadly could only watch about 20 minutes of this. Found it really interesting but it was spoiled by the continual repetition of the same background riff (instrumental of Teenage Dream?) Seems strange to have gone to so much trouble to produce an interesting factual documentary and use the same piece of music over and over. What was he thinking? Copyright problems maybe?....

This T. Rex album was, in my opinion, actually a Tyrannosaurus Rex album and I wish Marc hadn't changed the band name until the next album Electric Warrior. This T. Rex album mirrored the "Beatd Of Stars" album with the same personnel and instrumentation and also released in 1970.
