The makers of SMOKEY GHOST, one of my all-time, absolute favorite curry-style hot sauces, depict a different species of bird that enjoys the chili pepper in question on the artwork of each of their hot sauce bottles. That alone is reason enough to own them all. Now, let's see if their deliciousness matches the beauty of the bottle art.

Mexicali Wing Sauce by Cholula: Review

We are closing in on the final Cholula sauces to review with this second in the beautifully bottled 'Wing Sauce' series, the first being Caliente, which was one of my 10 favorite sauces of 2024. Will Mexicali Wing Sauce be equivalently excellent? Or even more so?

Seafire make great sauces!
I found it at the Commissary recently. It interested me because I like most of the Boar's Head products. I wasn't overly impressed with this sauce though.
Yeah, I was really disappointed in this. Not at all spicy and not all that tasty.
OMG! Your gecko is awesome! Our reviews are 100% reptileless, and we're all the lesser because of it. Glad the grasshoppers were actually tasty 👏
Wow ur strong bro
Hi brother Are you looking for a professional youtube thumbnail designer and youtube video SEO Expert???
The Algorithm is cooking
i see youve tried some filipino stuff have u tried Mang Tomas? Goes on any meat
The BEST pickle hot sauce is "Closed on Sundays " from Intergalactic Hot Sauce in Winnipeg, MB Canada!!!
I'll check it out!
I don’t think we would’ve even noticed him.
Did I miss the part where you recommended a place to find it?
Oops! I purchased mine at World Market in Tacoma. There are locations all over the Puget Sound region, but I'm not sure where else you'd find one. The good thing is - you can order this from World Market's website!
Heck yeah, this is the content I crave at 1am when the insomnia really kicks. Thanks for reccomending these! I'll have to grab a bottle.
Thanks for watching! I wholeheartedly recommend both the sauce and the spice rub.
Chocolate and chilies! So good together. I'm with you on datk Chocolate, but when chili is added it is such a good combo. Nice review!
I know you're waiting for that flamethrower chocolate bar review.... and I'm finding excuses not to record it...
looks interesting
cool
Nice review as always. Green habanero sounds great. I may have to search one out.
Thank you! Yes, green habaneros are delicious. I've had a love/hate thing going with the habs (the peppers and the team) for a long time, but I have a love/love thing going with green ones. They are so crisp and flavorful!
@BarrelShape 🤣🤣
hope you got some sleep man its not fun.
Insomnia has been an issue for most of my adult life... I'm used to it but yeah, it can be a bummer, especially when I run out of coffee.
Hi friend, I'm Pablo Jimenez, owner of Chile Monoloco, thanks for this review, greetings from Costa Rica.
Hello! It's always an honor to have a sauce creator find and watch one of my reviews!
this is my go-to for canned chili hands down. Always keep 2-3 cans in my desk pantry at work
This is the best canned chili brand in America hands down.
I like a version of a chicago dog where I put diced pickles and tomatoes on a beef hotdog, with hot sauce.
Do you use hot peppers on your chicago dog?
great video!!
Thanks! I always do wonder what is great about the video
Good job! Ive been curious about that challenge. You handled that really well! I cant wait to see the chocolate bar! Congrats on making 500 videos. There are many more to come, I'm sure. Happy new year🎉
Ain't no way! I did a hot wing challenge and it was like I instantly dumped lava down my throat then I touched my face to top it off. I paid for it for 3 days, the toilet paper was catching on fire. 😅
What hot wing challenge? What sauces? I'm real curious
It's a sucker bro, if you don't suck on it you cheated.
The challenge doesn't specify that you have to suck on it. It says "Keep it in your mouth for 5 minutes." I did that. If other people want to suck on it for the whole time, well, they're suckers, in more than one way.
@@BarrelShape LOL, Fair enough, but honestly, you know that is avoiding the majority of the heat.

You have to chew it up and digest the nitro.
True
I haven't tried very many hot sauces but the best one I like so far is El Yucateco Xxxtra Hot Chile Habanero Sauce, which isn't near as hot as the name suggests but it has lots of flavor, and is advertised as being made from an old Mayan recipe. I have the Ghost of Saffron on the way and will be checking out some of your other choices. 👍🏻
Did you get the "hotter" version of Ghost of Saffron? That's the one I own. From my understanding the regular and hotter versions are identical except for the inclusion of more ghost pepper in the hotter version. I've had the xxxtra hot El Yucateco and like it, but my favorite by that company is the green habanero.
@@BarrelShape I got the regular Ghost of Saffron on the way, but thank you for telling me about the hotter version. I'm glad I found your channel so I know which hot sauces to try. I was wondering if you had tried the El Yucateco Xxxtra Hot since I didn't see it on your top 20 list. I think I've tried the green habanero but will buy it again since you like it. : )
Be sure to gather the bonus views from posting the on-the-toilet content, after these, or you're leaving easy money on the table.

Thank you for watching, I much appreciate you.
Don't know why RUclips suggested me this video but the algorithm knows what it's doing, that was fun to watch! Although I do hope you're ok after that. You've gained a new subscriber! Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! Yes, I am OK.
Great list of hot sauces! I love how you broke down each one with its unique flavor and heat level. I'm curious, which one would you recommend for someone who loves spicy but doesn’t want it to overpower the food’s flavor?
Probably the Camp Sauce or the Shallhot. Pickle Crack is a great all-purpose sauce as well but has a very dominant flavor.
@@BarrelShape Thanks for the recommendation! Camp Sauce and Shallhot sound perfect-definitely adding those to my list. By the way, I noticed your video has so much potential to reach more spicy food lovers. Have you ever thought about optimizing the tags or descriptions to make it pop in searches? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

GREAT VIDEO I JUST TRIED THE FIERY HOT CHIPS AND WOW
Thanks for watching! Yeah, those fiery hot chips are shockingly good. I never thought anything on the shelves of 7-11 would be that good.

What can I say? Diablo Sauce is a masterpiece.
@BarrelShape thank you, sir. May you have a safe and blessed new year

nah what da heck is dis
nice video it paired well with my taco bell dinner!
i felt utterly magnetized to this video by the title and the unedited thumbnail. good video, subscribed

honey instead of sugar cause its a natural sweetener plus it pairs well with berries
That is a good idea. I probably won't use it, because I don't care for honey in beverages, but it would certainly be a healthier alternative for those who do.
thank you for the review. i heed your warnings on this specific product and i shall avoid this when searching for canned chili at the stores.
It's not the worst canned chili I've head, but yeah - nothing special either.
Oh, and I've got another canned chili to review that I think will be both hot AND good. Keep an eye open for that video.
This is great, if you want to get diabetes.
There's only a teaspoon of sugar in the smoothie... that's like 5 grams... not like it's a tub of Mountain Dew!
I mean, you added sugar AND whipped cream to a smoothie that already had plenty of sugar from the fruit, milk, and juice. The fiber from the fruit should help balance out the sugar in it, but when you add the granulated sugar and whipped cream that kinda throws it out of balance.
@@georgebraymusic The whipped cream is sugarfree, but yes I get what you're saying about the fruit. I did say when I put the sugar in that it wasn't needed. I had a sweet tooth that morning!
@@BarrelShape didn't catch that the whipped cream was sugar free, that's a good call there!
@@georgebraymusic I would estimate that the smoothie serving I poured had 20 grams of sugar in it total... not great but I don't think we're in pre-diabetic territory yet - especially because it's only a once a day thing.
Nice to find your channel and subscribe!
Thank you for your kind words and for subscribing.
Listen to @Traderjoe. He was spot on.
Its like most food additives in that the amount applied varies with each persons individual taste preferences. For instance a person that likes one teaspoon of sugar in their coffee will not like another persons coffee that has two tablespoons of sugar and vici-versa. As an Australian I do like my Vegemite, but I have a lot more on my toast than my wife who prefers a wisp of Vegemite on her toast. My preference is considered quite extreme here in Australia but it is normally still less than what you spread on your piece of toast. If you try it again try spreading about 1/16th of what you did here so you can barely see it, with a lot of butter.
as a 🇯🇲I tried both. Marmite taste much more higher more quality than Vegemite. 🇬🇧Tastes more like meat 🇦🇺 Tastes more like Vegemite with sugar
As an American, I've gotten through 1/2 a jar of Marmite. I'm sure it's an acquired taste, just like anchovies (which I've learned to LOVE). Marmite is just another flavor/umami that has its place, and I will continue to enjoy. Now you've gotten me curious about Vegimite - I love anise flavor. I'm not surprised that any American would prefer Vegimite over Marmite, since, as a nation we tend to prefer sweet flavors.
I like anise and black licorice. I wonder how the Vegemite would be whisked into vodka? Or a drop of Marmite in my bloody mary?
must understand that these were essentially Vit B supplements and introduced to youngsters as an easy approach to dietary necessities. consider "scrapple" - it is a horrific concoction but treasured by those who grew up with it.
Love it l will try it 🫶
Homey has the AMERICAN style spread!😂😂😂😂
I do? I thought that was Vegex.
