MacArthur would be scared to death if he knew what would happen at Christ's return. The tribulation will be the end of his ministry, his church, and all religions of Christendom according to Bible prophecy.

Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! I have been a spiritually regenerated new creature in Christ for nearly 46 years now, having repented when I first read & heard the Gospel of the GRACE OF GOD! Oh, how GLORIOUS it is to be a child of the ETERNAL KING, and how SORROWFUL it is to be UNSAVED rejectors of Jesus! God Our Heavenly Father, Jesus His Son, asked His Apostles, “who do y’all say that I am”? I gather from this sermon that Jesus continues, and will continue, to ask this supreme question, of every human, “who do YOU say that I, Jesus, am. This is what we could say is the ‘eternal’ question.

We were just discussing this question this morning with some young people that had asked why Israel has suffered so long and now in the throws of war once again by the surrounding Muslim nations crying death to them. Maranatha

First, and foremost, I want to thank you for allowing comments, most sermons from Pastor John MacArthur, GTY and Todd Friel do not allow one to make comments on their RUclips video clips. I come from a different perspective than Pastor MacArthur. I am an older Born Again Christian, the LORD God Jesus Christ is my Saviour, and Lord. I also am what the Cessationists call a Continuationist/Charismatic, I believe that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the greatest Sign Gift, the Born Again experience, (John 3 and Ephesians 2:8,9), are still in operation today. Like R.A. Torrey's writings, (the First Dean of BIOLA, that Pastor John MacArthur went to), and D.L. Moody, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the "secondary," "additional," "subsequent" experience of the Baptism with the Holy Spirit did not cease at the End of the Apostolic Age, the Dispensational doctrine that Scofield taught in his Scofield Reference Bible, (for me, every Bible that has doctrines on the same pages of the Word of God, whether the John MacArthur Study Bible, or the Spirit Filled Study Bible is a point blank sin). These ideas are evident in R.A. Torrey's books, "What the Bible Teaches," "The Baptism With the Holy Spirit," and "Why God Used D.L. Moody," and the compilation book, "Power for Divine Living." The passages in the Word of God, such as, Mark 11:12-25, John 14:12-14, clearly state that the Sign Gifts and Miracles are for ALL believers not just the Apostles. In R.A. Torrey's book, "How to Pray," he mentions a lady that says she will not believe in the Bible since she prayed, and God doesn't answer her prayers, R.A. Torrey then gives her 1 John 3:22 where God will answer our prayers, (not just Apostles), because we do those things that are pleasing in His sight, meaning there is a stipulation here, and also Mark 11:22-25, for God answering our prayers. From sermons I have listened to by Pastor John MacArthur he makes generalizations, I call it the sin of generalizations, that ALL in some Christian groups are not saved. There are sermons I can point to that indicate NO Roman Catholic is saved. There are video clips I can point to that NO Orthodox is saved, even Hank Hanegraaff now. At the "Strange Fire Conference" October 2013, Pastor McArthur went against Chuck Smith and Calvary Chapels, (Jacob Prasch's, response is where I stand on this, imagine saying songs like, "Create in Me a Clean Heart," or "Humble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord," are Strange Fire), and ALL Contemporary Christian Music, (granted there are some songs of Elevation, Bethel and Hillsong that are not correct theologically, Some not ALL). Pastor MacArthur made the following comment that includes ALL churches that worship with Contemporary Christian Music, "They say the word Jesus all over the place, but they don't know Him, they don't know the Gospel." Q&A Session #1. Pastor MacArthur's presentation at the Strange Fire Conference was on 1 John 4:1-6, and I do not think that Pastor MacArthur fully understands what that passage of Scripture is saying, or Romans 10:9 and 1 Corinthians 12:3. In Pastor MacArthur's sermon, "The Modern Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit," he gives the standard ideas of Cessationism, that ALL Sign Gifts have ceased since around 70 AD, (the End of the Apostolic Age/Dispensationalism/death of the last Apostle/Canon of Scriptures etc. - Read the older Baptist Pastor's book, Wilfred Meloon on "We've Been Robbed," about this), then makes a statement about the Biblical definition found in Matthew 12, "...it is like the Unpardonable Sin found in Matthew 12. What is that? It is attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan. Remember that! It is attributing the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan." (pretty close to the exact wording, look it up). The sin of generalization to me is stating that there are no believers in these other branches and denominations of Christianity, yet some are Born Again, have the Sign Gift of Salvation, one is then attributing to Satan the work of the Holy Spirit, and not to mention that if there are Sign Gifts, (as I consider the Born Again experience to be the greatest), from 70 AD until now, then one is attributing to Satan the work of the Holy Spirit. I rebuke the Rigid ideas of the Reformed Baptist's, especially when they exclude the idea of "Covenant Theology." The Reformed Baptist Theodore Zachariades quotes the logic of Calvinism/Predestination, “God works all things according to the council of His will. Even keeping the kings who want to commit adultery from committing so. AND WHEN WE WANTS TO HE ORDERS THOSE TO COMMIT ADULTERY WHEN HE WANTS TO!” That is why John Wesley said that Predestination, stuff like Limited Atonement, makes God worse than the Devil. Finally, I come to the subject of this sermon. The name that goes with this sermon is Steve Lawson! Steve Lawson could have been the Reformed Baptist to take the mantle after Pastor John MacArthur died. The young lady he committed adultery with was a student of Master's, while he was a professor. It seems like this relationship developed when she was 20 years old, and is currently 25 years old, Steve Lawson was 68 years old, (wow! a year older than I am) and is now 73 years old. He paid for her trips to meet him in a 5-year hidden relationship of adultery. Like Phil Johnson said, "It was not just holding hands." That made me think of the picture of Benny Hinn and Paula White holding hands in 2011. Benny Hinn had been divorced by his wife earlier that year, and Paula White had been divorced by Randy White in 2007, and they were holding hands...you know it just does not equate to the sin Steve Lawson did. Phil Johnson then when on to state that it wasn't like Steve Lawson is repenting of this relationship, that he only made it known to his elders due to the young lady's father about to present it to his elders. I am giving Pastor Phil Johnson credit here for stating these matters, and I am sure he asked Pastor MacArthur if he could state the situation. Imagine taking Communion for 5 years not applying the warnings of Those are my issues with Reformed Baptists, and Pastor John MacArthur.
